Thanks Lance, I'm not the greatest with photoshop but will give it a try. Converting the image to vector isn't needed, just need to make a color photo into a b/w.

MaGyver I think what Bob is talking about is the set up on the right. But in a pinch I constructed the thing on the left out of pvc pipe and end caps that come in R-tape packages. It worked pretty well, but I would recommend what bob mentioned.

Where does it start printing if you were to not center the print and had it set to, say a right align?

that kind of work is pretty simple and you shouldn't need a service manual to figure out. I would use CMYKparts to get what you need and if you get hung up on replacing them there is always help here at Signs101

You should only need to do a head wash a couple times a year or when changing ink. Other than that I would recommend for regular matainence a good head cleaning. That way you keep the ink moving through the lines with out completly flushing them and wasting a large amout of ink and solvent.

Have you tried to align the marks manually? It takes longer but that is what I have to do, as my vinyl express have never been able to find the marks properly.
