  1. A Encad NovaJet 500 42" printer?

The NovaJet 500 is very old. It is no longer supported by Kodak/Encad. $500 is a good price but the parts have been discontinued. Everything below the Encad NovaJet 850 has had its parts discontinued. If someone were to offer me this printer for $500 I would take it. If it doesn't work...
  2. So, who's gonna be the guinea pig...

We had one of these come through our R&D from China and I could not get it to work to save my life. It frustrated the hell out of me. Better luck to anyone else.
  3. 60" Printer for $1799 ???

I'm familiar with Iprint. They make knockoffs of different brands. They've been around for quite a while. You will get the same print quality and similar print speed when compared to a real Encad but it isn't the most reliable piece of equipment. Don't expect any level of support from Iprint...
  4. A sign to ponder?

Again, a bit of dry humor. If we didn't buy 'Chinese crap' we wouldn't have much at all.
  5. A sign to ponder?

I don't think this was really paid for by government funds. That bit feels like dry humor to me.
  6. A sign to ponder?

I agree that we shouldn't buy Chinese crap.
  7. Hp Z6100

I haven't used any other members of the Z series family personally but from test prints I've seen they all seem to have similar print quality. I would have no knowledge of print speed but they use the same inks so durability should be the same. Pretty soon, though, Kodak is putting out a new...
  8. Hp Z6100

This is a printer I've been working with for a while. I've been testing its durability, speed, and various other aspects. Here's a mixture of my observations and thoughts. This may be a little late to be of much use. Durability of Prints The HP Z6100 flyer claims that the prints can last up to...
  9. My New BEAST! Complete with Raptors!!!!

    That's awesome.
  10. Again, Valuejet Help...

Of course, make sure the cartridge is in all the way. Then try turning it off and turning it back on. Don't take the cartridge in or out while it is turned off. Failing that, call your vendor and tell them to get you up and running.
  11. Is this a good buy?

Nice catch. I didn't see that.
  12. Hi,,,Another Texan

    Welcome from Houston!
  13. Is this a good buy?

What was the technician servicing it for if it had never had any problems?
  14. More Encad problems

Do you have the item number on the box with the new cartridge that didn't have the metal tube?
  15. More Encad problems

First off, prime your lines. Let me know if that doesn't work.
  16. Print problem with Encad 1000i = no K

I actually work for the largest Encad/Kodak supplier in the nation. I've been tossing this over in my head and messing with the unit we have in-house but I can't figure anything. Everything I think of has already been tried. I'll get with some of the other techs and see what they think.
  17. Thinking about buying a valujet

Great printer. You'll be happy with it and that's a great price tag. Set-up and training costs can vary depending on location but our customers usually get it for $1,500 if purchased separately from the machine. That brings it to about... 64" Printer & Cutter Combo ----- $28,995 Take-Up System...
  18. "Check Waste Ink"

Sometimes the printer doesn't recognize that you've removed the waste. In that situation I tell users to delicately jiggle the waste holder thing.
  19. Great site...hello from pa

I've only known a few people from PA but they've all been great people. You're off at a good start, I 'spose. Greetings from the greatest city in all of Texas.
  20. Took the plunge...Wish me luck!!!

Running a JV3 and a VersaCamm side by side is a good laugh. Your competition will find themselves severely outclassed especially with the six color setup. Also, though a lot of salespeople will push the JV4 or even the JV5, I always recommend the JV3. Much better machine, in my opinion...
