  1. Rolls Roller

I still do cut vinyl on banners when the banner is to big to run in my printer. Not worth it to outsource and wait and pay shipping for the few we do each year.
  2. QR Codes in the Sign Biz

Oh, so now I have to buy a smart phone!
  3. QR Codes in the Sign Biz

What about size of code that needs to be printed? Is it distance effected? so many questions. Doug
  4. rush job

If they did not deliver a very good bottle of single malt scotch with the files I would not be doing the job at all!
  5. A Better substrate mover....

I used a hydraulic lift table located at the feed side of the table saw...was just close enough to slide a sheet over onto the table... If you don't want to invest in the table idea, use your fork lift. Off feed table is a absolute must, stationary. Bigger is better.
  6. Tale of Newbie Roland Woe

You say you are in Idaho....not sure which part, but I can't say enough about Pacifc Coast in Portland, OR. They sold us our Roland and have been absolutely on the spot for any help we have needed. Might be worth the drive to bring your parts to them, or ship it. Doug
  7. What say you about this one?

We have morphed into something quite by accident. We attend various racing events in our area. Anything from motocross, sports car road racing, vintage racing, and new this season, road bikes. We set up at the tracks with our mobile setup and produce vinyl numbers/names for the race machines...
  8. What say you about this one?

Thank you all for your input. Now I just have to figure out how to tell my partner that the design needs much rework. Part of the reason for the swoosh and italics (to defend her at least a little) is our business has warped into much more of a race affiliated entity. I guess we were trying to...
  9. What say you about this one?

A logo for your comments. Doug
  10. Sumblimation

As much as I would like to do this for you, I would suggest that you really consider the shipping costs of the heavy mugs. I just brought in a small case of 24 to test from a new for me vendor....UPS was almost $1.00 per mug! Since I normally order mugs by the pallet, I will be able to get this...
  11. Sumblimation

John, we do full color sublimation. As a matter of fact, we are doing 50 mugs today. Send me some details: size of mug, is the design done.... I'll shoot you a price. dougatdeepdownexpressions.com Doug
  12. Dye Sublimation

I have done sublimation for many years and have used both the Epson 3000, a small format desktop (can't remember the model) and now the Ricoh. Loving the Ricoh and really do believe that it uses less ink to get the job done. Never had a clog in the 3000 and I owe it all to humidity. I live in...
  13. Gallery Wrap Canvas Print

Bob I have done a few canvas prints and stretched them the "old" way and have been very happy with the results, and the sales! My question for you is....do you have a system for folding the corners...this is my biggest challenge....can't seem to do it the same way twice! Doug
  14. Tile as a substrate

Dye Sublimation to tile is some pretty cool stuff. I used to make full murals with the process which progressed into a manufacturing company specializing in frames for mounting the tile murals in. Dye sub is a process requiring a polyester base material on the tile and it is best left to the...
  15. What does your shop smell like?

Cigars....and I can't get my partner to stop Nor do I want to....it is so HOT watching her smoke 'em! Doug
  16. Image trasfer to wood

I have tried sublimation for box tops, and everything you have heard about the do it yourself coatings is true...nightmare. I have also used CLC (Laser toner transfer) with very little success. It is difficult to get the wood glass smooth across the surface and the toner is not at all durable...
  17. New to Logo Design

Absolutely believe in admitting ones short comings....I'm not a logo designer. In this case, my customer knows very well that I will be having another company do the design work and has no problem with that. He is willing to pay me for knowing who to go with! As far as contact by my customer...
  18. New to Logo Design

Hi All. I'm pretty new to logo design and have a client wanting a professional logo created. He knows that I'm going to seek outside service and wants us to "broker" the deal as we will be doing all the actual print work for him. Question is...how do I go about this. I looked in the vendor...
  19. ROLAND SP300V will not cut

When we got ours last year we had the same problem. Tech came out and said the voltage was to low. He adjusted it and then came out again the next day to correct it as he had turned it up to high...apparently it is very touchy. Can't tell you how to do it is adjusted though...sorry.
  20. Thinking of buying the SignWarehouse Vehicle Wrap Kit

So...Tomld... I'm in the printed vinyl business. I print and cut decals and wraps for most anything people want. What I'm thinking is that by printing several thousand of these special wraps that promote my vinyl business and wrapping a awesome vehicle such as you are providing...I could...
