    Gbc arctic duramount. Estimate I've done about 2000 poster mounts in the last 2 years (80% foamcore, 10% gator, 10% artboard). Has not failed once. Have tried to find something less expensive, royal sov., a house brand, and no success. Can't lose.

    Wow, okay I thought I was totally out there. Very good idea about doing the end opposite the print head, it was indeed the machine I was most concerned about. And thanks for the other tips. I'll report back once I've tried it this weekend. Let's see what others have to say.

    Thought I'd throw this out there. Anyone ever tried cutting an entire roll of stock down to a particular width. For instance, those of us with our crazy 60" wide HP latex machines often find ourselves stuck between a 54 and a 63 inch roll. Yes, we can get some material in 60" or some suppliers...
  9. skewed scrim in banner vinyl

    Question to the field: how often do you get banner vinyl where the scrim is skewed at an angle? I've got a new brand of banner vinyl I brought in and the scrim runs across the 54" width at about 15 degrees in a bit of a wave pattern. I've attached a pic. The black lines show the right angle...

    Thanks 2CT. Ultraflex was actually recommended after I had the issue with the Bannux so when my roll shows to test, I'll use your settings. Cheers.

    No solution but... I was asking the other day for a recommendation on suggested banner vinyl because of the same issue...I was using 13oz Bannux by lg and having the same problem. Looks like it might be more than a media issue?

    +1 to Colorado Signs Not sure if you've ever done an install jc, but whatever you do, don't even think about using a non-repositionable vinyl.
