    That is insanely cool. Thx
  2. Removing Liner from Media

Posting this in the HP section but feel free to ring in. In general, how much of a hassle is it for you to remove liner from media like mesh or flag after you've printed? I'm running an L25500 and it can be a lot more difficult to separate the liner after printing. I attribute it to the...
  3. Just wrapped my tahoe

Looks wicked. That will absolutely get attention due to the sharp contrast of white on black. So many wraps are photos of this that and the next thing...just because they can put it on then they do. As for the comments above, I read it as 'high' octane right away, but yeah, 'goat' wraps...I...
  4. computer with a sense of humor.

    Nice!
  5. HP Design Jet L25500 Opinions?

2CT, what kind of vinyl are you running. I really like my L25500, and it prints beautifully on a variety of Oracal vinyl, but yeah the smell is rough on us. Let me know...who knows, it might make a difference. As for recommending the machine, I can only tell you it's great for us. No wraps...
  6. inner blockout lining for double sided flags?

Thanks Dave. What do you use for blackout?
  7. inner blockout lining for double sided flags?

Have you found a material that works well for you as an inner blockout lining for double sided flags? Tyvek gets mentioned often. Any suggestions or things that have worked for you?
  8. #$!%^#!$%^#!$^% hate vistaprint

Angela, please tell me you are kidding. Why in the world would you support Four Over, a company that is out there scamming the industry by claiming to be a trade printer when they'll sell to anyone and when they have an end user site that competes with you. If you didn't know, then now you do.
  9. Anybody tried cutting down a roll of media?

Forgot to post an update on this. Got perfect cuts on rolls of 15oz and 13 oz scrim following the suggestions given. In sum: -wanted to see if I could cleanly cut down a roll of media to a given size (ie: a 60" roll for the HP L25500) -used a 12" ridgid compound mitre saw with a clean, new...
  10. Xign on L25500?

    Thanks Bud, I appreciate it.
  11. Royal Sovereign 1651CLTW

Sorry I should have been more clear. The take up is indeed both a standard part of the machine and is chain driven off the main drive. They call the optional parts a front and rear winder assembly and the rear is driven by an electric motor.
  12. Royal Sovereign 1651CLTW

Same. We have the RSH 1651. I feel that it was good value for the money. And yes, the take up option is worth every penny. My only complaint is that the take up runs on an electric motor, not chain driven from the main drive, so you're doing some starting and stopping of the little winder as it...
  13. Xign on L25500?

Retractable banners. Have you used it yourself on an L25500?
  14. HP L25500 Laminating Problems

Hey Rob, Sorry I've got nothing new to add, but I'll give you what has worked for me. Orocal AV (3621, 3620, 3641) lam with Orocal 210. Usage has been window graphics. Using the HP generic PSA settings on the L25500, Onyx rip. Have also used the clear orocal (3620) as a facing lam on the...
  15. Xign on L25500?

Has anyone used Xign by LG on their HP L25500 latex machine. I know xign is a good product in general but any tips would be greatly appreciated before I burn through a roll getting the setting right :) ...cheers.
  16. LG xign

Hi GVP...I see you're in Canada as well...where are you sourcing your xign?
  17. Ultraflexx Scrim: JetFlex vs SuperPrint Plus

Thanks everyone. I've been using jetflex matte but as was said, the white isn't great but if you've got full coverage it prints beautifully (HP latex here). The other issue I had with the jetflex is the pattern of the scrim is all over the place (waves, angles). Just got some matte and yeah...
  18. score cutting magnets

Wow really, on a plotter. Interesting. What thickness?
  19. Invoicing software?

    +1 on Quickbooks. Big timesaver.
  20. Grommet Machine

+++ on the hiker. Height / depth adjustment is great feature as it means you're not just squishing the *%#• out of your substrate.
