  1. permenent chip problem - not detected

Problem solved. The problem was that the chips didn't have proper contact with a little board on a side which suppose to power them and get the information. Small piece of cardboard behind the chip which raised it, solved the problem.
  2. permenent chip problem - not detected

Hi everybody, I was doing head wash by filling up the cartridges with the flush solution and removing chips from them, so printer detects them as cleaning cartridges. When I was finished with the cleaning, I installed the chips back, but only two cartridges are detected. One black and one cyan...

  4. Clogged heads - suggestions needed

I moved the carriage with heads to the most left side and inspected the print heads, but I didn't see any scratches. I must admit, that it is hard to see there, so I might overlook some damage. If I remove the head from the carriage, do I need to do re-alignment after I install it back?

Hi everybody, I need to do a head wash to recover my heads from being clogged and I have no experience with it. I searched Mimaki forum and got bits and pieces, but I know that many contributions were written by experienced users and I don't know if there is anything missing there because...

  10. JV3-130 ink fill up doesn't work for black/magenta lines

  11. JV3-130 ink fill up doesn't work for black/magenta lines

Hi everybody, I bought a used Mimaki JV3-130 printer. When I try to fill up ink, lines with yellow and cyan fill up no problem, but no ink is being sucked from black and magenta cartridges. Both black and magenta are connected to the same pump and pump seems to be working fine. Could somebody...

  15. Help with pricing

Gino, That's excellent point. I guess I should think this way, because I'm actually thinking about eventually renting some place and I don't want like you said raise the prices just because of that. Thank you. You are right I didn't think about A/C, electricity and so on, because I didn't...
  16. Help with pricing

Thank you everybody for their inputs. I followed Coloradosigns' suggestion to try signcraft website and it seems to me a very good starting point. I signed up for their trial and I try to figure out my pricing based on their formulas and then I will play with it a bit and give it a shot. In...
  17. Help with pricing

I just purchased Mimaki JV3-130 printer, because I wanted to get hands on printing experience and learn the stuff. I already have cutter Graphtec FC7000-160. I need to create some pricing structure and obviously I do not have experience to do it, so I though that I would ask members of this...

  20. FC7000-160 X axis alert / load media issues

Thank you CiberSupply for your help. I'm using signcut pro for cutting. It doesn't have option prefeed, but it has option of testfeed, where it feeds whole lengths of the sign to be cut and then rolls it back. It is not ideal, but better then me manually doing the same. Is this known issue...
