Same issue I have a 1204 that I bought last year, printed lines at about 32". looks just like yours, it prints well otherwise, upto 32". Bought a decoder card off of eBay, installed it and got a print head error. Maybe I installed it wrong?

I bought the printer used and has worked until I tried to print over 35". not sure how to find out the condition of my print head? is their something in the menu that would indicate it is locked print head? thanks Bill

I cleaned the encoder strip and the encoder wheel, and cleaned and lubricated the rail. Still no change, prints 2-3 vertical stripes in the same location even with a different design. anyone have any other ideas? thanks Bill

Are you referring to the round wheel on left side of printer, or the t-fence? Will clean the wheel in the morning. Thanks

How did you finally get it converted?

Tried to convert I tried signlab 7-8-9 and the program would give error: File was created with a later version of the product. May not be able to read entire file. Do you wish to continue? (Discio 12245) Bill
