  1. Vehicle Wrap Templates

Also, you can reduce/remove curvature of the vehicle by moving away from the vehicle around 50' and zoom in for your digital pictures. This was a definite issue with Badwraps templates.
  2. Good color management!

I read thru a lot of the articles posted by GK...good stuff and very informative. Would you recommend the UV version of the X rite i1 Xtreme as a good, overall CMS for digital printing
  3. Can you use downloadable fonts?

Shouldn't be a problem. If they're older True Type fonts (TT) make sure you download the proper version ( pc or Mac ). Download them to you desktop then click and drag the font file into your fonts folder. Some files come with a README file and a pickpage...just load the font. Be aware that...
  4. 3M Certified Poser

I agree that a training standard should be set so that quality work is recognized. It's tough to do at this point because a lot of companies dropped these programs due to the economic situation. I actually believe the certification should involve more than a weekend workshop; it should cover...

  6. tif resolution

Just tried Genuine Fractals and it didn't help.
  7. tif resolution

I received a "high resolution" tif file from a customer, but prior to printing I checked it up close and it's still too blurry for a 36" wide print. The file is enormous..195Mb @ 300dpi. Can I clean it up with Genuine Fractal software or try something else? ( I am also trying to get the...
  8. Food Bank sign destroyed

I literally just received an e-mail from the local historical society that the dimensional sign with a hand made hanger I just installed is now "dangling" by one attachment. It's near a bad part of town. I am assuming vandalism as well. I may be in the same boat as you. I am going to check it...
  9. Installation of ICC in flexipro 8.1

Check out the Forum named DIGITAL PRINTING and look for the thread "GOOD COLOR MANAGEMENT" started by "Checkers". It covers what you're looking for: color calibration and profiles. It's an in depth subject that should definitely be researched when designing and printing. I am looking at the...

I'll take a shop with an attached house any day. Nice work on the 702 website. How did you land the retail graphics??

  12. Roland & versaworks on a MAC

Anyone successfully running a Roland digital printer and Versaworks on a MAC computer?? I am hearing that there's not much tech support because very few people are doing it. I'd prefer to stick with my MAC.

    Thanks guys. Good advice
  15. Beer pong table

I have a customer making his own beer pong tables out of plywood. I want to apply a digital image printed on 3M IJ180Cv3. I prefer that used Omega Luster Board, but he doesn't want to spend the money. (I might talk him in to using MDO) Is a finish coat of polyurethane a good surface for...

  17. 64 bit processor & Versaworks

Does Versaworks run on Windows 7 and the 64 bit processor in new pc's??
  18. Good color management!

It's crazy. The salesman for the digital printers told me I didn't have to do anything !!! I am just trying to find someone who knows what their talking about and someone I can trust. Thanks for the links.
  19. Good color management!

Thanks for the heads up, GK. I need to do all of this without blowing a lot of money and wasted time. I haven't taken delivery on my printer, but I definitely need to get this end of it figured out.
  20. Good color management!

I just attended a professional photographers workshop and the host, Scott Kelby, highly recommended the X-rite i1 display 2 for monitor color calibration. It's only $200. Calibrate the monitor every month.
