    Anyone still using colorip? I downloaded profiles from Roland and from Wasatch for my FJ740... The ones from Roland are good for everything but they all have a yellow ochre shade.. So my blue is basically a muddy green... The ones from wasatch if run on medium resolution have perfect...

    I have been performing powerful cleaning on my new (used) FJ740... I finished so many ink cartridges I could almost have bought a new head... Here some pics of the status, being the last one slightly better... Shall I assume my black head has to be changed? And maybe maybe the cyan as well...

    Thx! I just opened... It seems there is enough space for closing just one line of holes... I still have to see this silicon tape, but probably I should add some holes in the plate? You are saying those holes basically suck the media down? What media at 130 will start buckling? It doesn't seems...

    Colin, did you buy yet? I'm converting my FJ740 to sepiax. If you can still wait a couple of week i'll let you kno how it goes... If it is the case buying an old Roland for 2k or less (i paid mine 1500$) may b in the end the more cutting edge choice! (irony...) m

    Cropmarks, when you converted your printer... The front heater is embedded in the new platen right? Where exactly goes the back heaters? There is any insulation material to put here and there? I'm coming up with this silicon tape for converting to sepiax... I wana place under the front...

    Thanks a lot Table Hickey!!! I will try to do this project. I heard very good things about sepiax.... So you think I could just put my silicon tape under the front platen, and if too many holes get stuck, maybe I just drill a few more?
