If you are still having issues, I have several of these printers running everyday....and we do all our own maintenance.I would be happy to talk to you and run thru some ideas....
perhaps it is beacuse the machine has been in sleep mode and the ink Dryer has not turned on and the machine has not come up to proper operating temperatures. My machine looks just like your blurry print when the dryers are not on....once I wake the machine up and the ink dryer turns on and then...
I run several older SP-540V machines and used to have a similar problem. I started using a silicone lubricant and it cleared right up. I now make a practice of lubricating the bearings every 4 months and have not had a problem since. I place a small amount of this lubricant on the upper and...

If you want...
Your welcome...glad it worked out for you.....make sure you add this to your bi-monthly maintenance schedule....at least cleaning the rail and re-greasing...If you have a dirty environment in your work space...you can do this more often
cheers from Canada!!! eh!
My experience with these print heads is they are very hard to fix to the point where they are usable for good quality work. I have spent time and money both with Ultrasonic Cleaners ( which you have to be very careful with as you can damage the heads further) and sending them to 3rd parties for...
If you are up for this you can try this......it is messy so lay some scrap hand towels down to limit the mess.
You will need a spray can of brake cleaner with the red little straw that shoots it out.....
Before attempting cleaning, switch off the sub power/power and wait until the heater and...
