  1. Moving Mimaki 6042 mkii 600 miles

Based on the messages before in private, would definitely invest in having a trained tech move it.
  2. New Product Eufy E1 desktop UV printer

5mm of ink would be a crazy amount of ink, doable, but shrinkage with UV inks at that thickness becomes a thing. Can compensate by making layered artwork though. Gantry gap is 50mm + 7-8mm head gap.
  3. New Product Eufy E1 desktop UV printer

2" thick, but no rotary. Though, those tend to be dog slow and janky. CMYKLcLm plus White & Clear. Pretty typical flatbed.
  4. New Product Eufy E1 desktop UV printer

In talks with a Chinese maker to bring in a few 24"x36" 3-head (XP600) flatbeds in and cost on those is only like $4K, though freight is added as well as tarriffs. The little 12" flatbeds are around $2k with a single printhead. Main thing is going to be how well they implement software. Though...
  5. New Product Eufy E1 desktop UV printer

LUS-120 from STS for their aftermarket ink is about $78 retail and we buy in bulk to resell to local shops and use ourselves.
  6. We love to hear testimonies from happy customers

Cheesy way to advertise is all. We do have vendor forums here you can use. That said, testimonials are nothing compared to a solid demo.
  7. New Product Eufy E1 desktop UV printer

I pay $60-ish per liter for UV ink, even OEM inks rarely top $250.
  8. Does anyone print WHITE ON CLEAR ? ? ?

Works if using clear acrylic/glass/polycarbonate but found using a light diffusing white plastic to begin with tends to be more economical in time and ink.
  9. Does anyone print WHITE ON CLEAR ? ? ?

For backlit menu, we use a UV flatbed to print on white acrylic/polycarbonate, no white ink as that blocks light from passing through.
  10. New Product Eufy E1 desktop UV printer

Will be interesting if Anker does a decent job of supporting it. They're more of a gadget company than anything, so would be interesting to see how that plays out. Odds are the head is off the shelf, as a custom one would be insanely expensive.
  11. New Product Eufy E1 desktop UV printer

Been talking to someone with a review unit, interested to see what head they put in it. Wondering if they went with something like an XP600 or if they went with something obscure. Also taking a look at the ink DRM, $430/liter is obscene.
  12. Does anyone print WHITE ON CLEAR ? ? ?

I've had decent luck using UVDTF transfers on glass, no weeding and the transfer tape is applied by the printer. However, not a ton of people using those.
  13. new Mimaki CJV 200

Being thorough in a write-up of a 5-figure purchase is a good thing. Thanks for sharing. =)
  14. We love to hear testimonies from happy customers

Another effin' subscription. Hey software vendors, spam asides, just sell a copy. Subscriptions are great for a hot trial, but for a program, if it is as good as the unsolicited advertising claims, would be nice to not be paying for years.
  15. We love to hear testimonies from happy customers

    Their software smells like cheese.
  16. Looking for recommendations for printhead installation JFX200

Last time I heard that sound, someone hit their printer with a forklift and it fell off the loading dock. That's not even in an area near the heads, so a first for me. Blame the new guy and call insurance? There's a technical reason for it, but I was driving for 7 hours and working on printers...
  17. Nozzles missing in orange

Do cap, waste pump and dampers. If that don't fix it, get a head. Yes, heads are expensive. No, the $200 ones from Indonesia are really a scam. Yes, I know they cost a lot. Yes, the ones with the cheaper, but it's a big hassle. Heads are consumables, replace the cheap stuff supporting them. If...
  18. Rough or concrete print media by the yard

I have had really good luck with General Formulations GF 885AE RoughMark material for stuff like that. Not sure your preferred vendor, but I get it from Plastic Guy out of Kansas. Might try asking for a sample to see if it meets your needs. https://plasticguy1.com/products/ols/products/pg-588ae...
  19. ADA Compliant Braille Stickers

Modified ink and adhesive, modded printer as well to get the height required. Asides from the higher head gap and extra heads (4 6 channel TX800 heads), messed with the bidirectional calculations to adjust to higher pass counts. Also had to stack some more UV lamps in.
  20. ADA Compliant Braille Stickers

Here we go, full raised sign stuff. Need to tweak the ink a bit to keep the creep at bay. Printed to a transfer and applied to wood, not printed directly.
