The original ink for that machine was called Eco Ultra ink. Now it's just called MS31. It's still a current product and you can get it from any Mutoh dealer. If you want to save money, Bordeaux also has a third party option that works well.

Your printhead can fire different sized dots. The nozzle check uses the largest one. So you can have issues with a print head even when the nozzle check looks perfect. Try printing the nozzle check in service mode. That will print the other sized dots as well and will probably show defects.

Especially with UV inks. When I was just starting out as a tech, it was well known that DX5 heads don't hold up with UV inks so I was surprised to see a model still using them.

Just for anyone else in the future, these machines are Mutoh RJ900X printers frankensteined into a UV printer. Parts for the RJ900X are much cheaper than what Coldesi will sell them to you for and they are exactly the same except for the UV and gantry/table parts.

Turn the machine off and take all of the cartridges out. Then boot the printer back up. Once it boots up completely, install each cartridge one at a time. Sometimes that takes care of this issue.

There should be an option in the cutting tab to put the marks around the entire nest or individual files. I can't remember what the setting is called off the top of my head but I am pretty sure it's there.
