  1. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

I've been letting Onyx do the ink limits. It seems that it has gotten better over the years. Do you recommend something different on Chromalux panels?
  2. Recommendations for suppliers of POP fixtures

You can try Siffron, Kinter, and Asia Sources
  3. Roland Tech service quote $$ Are you serious?? $$

Hmmm Id never pay a tech more just so I could watch or help. Most of them enjoy getting to talked to and appreciate the help. Their pay isn’t going to change based on how close you monitor them. I ask for updates and what they’re doing. If they’re on the clock at those rates I like to know...
  4. Roland Tech service quote $$ Are you serious?? $$

AGFA is $1500 flat travel fee and $275 an hour. OCE has local techs but if you're not on a service agreement they are $315 an hour. I agree it's too expensive, especially when they seem to tinker trying to figure out the problem. We do all the service ourselves on the AGFA machines. The...
  5. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Thanks for the offer! I'm not looking for someone to produce them though since I already have all the equipment to do so.
  6. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

We have flatbeds here as well. Most of my profiling experiences is with flatbeds and UV ink. Onyx does a great job with profiling for those. But flatbed printing is totally different than dye-sub. Epson edge print is pretty limited and there are only 2 other options which yield similar results.
  7. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Here’s an example of the color differences. The one on the left is the sublimation panel and the one on the right is a laser print on regular paper which is within reason of the screen. Which I would be totally happy with if the panel turned out like that. And the photo actually made the gray...
  8. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Even for rigid substrates like Chromalux panels?
  9. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Dye Sublimation Equipment Epson F6370, Epson Edge Print, Epson DS Transfer Paper, Geo-Knight Maxi-Press All of my prints tend to shift to the green side. Light Blue/Blue always turns out teal. Grays tend to have the wretched green tone. Reds and Yellows turn out awesome. Unfortunately Epson...
  10. Need new flatbed - Advice please (NOT HP...)

I think he meant 7 boards an hour. Which would make sense if there was one row of Ricoh Gen 5 heads. I think the only machine that could print that fast is the Nozomi. And that would be slow. That thing will do a board every few seconds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Need new flatbed - Advice please (NOT HP...)

Here are a few flatbeds to take a look at: Agfa Mira, Anapurna Series Hybrid Printers, Digitech, Vanguard, Canon/Oce Arizona (Not my favorite machine though. Had one for 2 years and got rid of it. Replaced with an AGFA Titan and will never look back or get another Canon.) None of these are...
  12. COASTERS - Double Sided Digitally Printed/Full Color

Stouse has them full color front and back. https://www.stouse.com/product/coasters/?style=Paperboard&material=.035%22+Coaster+Board&cut=Individual+Thru-Cut&shape=Square&roundcorner=Yes&dim1=4&dim2=4&imprint=4CP+Front+%26+Back&design=None
  13. Suggestions on sub 4' flat bed printer

Here you go. https://itnh.com/blog/uv-printer-comparison/ Also one to look at with a really small footprint. https://www.xante.com/x16/
  14. The joys of offering a first Proof . No Charge. Need to rethink. I think

But did he ask you later to "Make it Pop" HA HA!
  15. Question UV print on icehockeypucks

Expected life for screen-printed hockey pucks is a few minutes on the ice. I'd be worried if someone is expecting them to last longer.
  16. Need Help Flatbed Banding on AGFA Titan

Yah I'm thinking you're going to need a few heads. At least you have Gen 4 which means you're only replacing the colors you need and they're only about $1,000. On the Gen 5 you usually only need to replace one head but they're joined together and they're $2,000 if you buy them through...
  17. Need Help Flatbed Banding on AGFA Titan

You're not going to be able to get rid of banding with those nozzle tests. Black is bad. That row of yellow nozzles that is out is definitely killing the gray tones. Also, it looks like your left and right are off. Make sure you have nozzle replacement on. I have the Gen 4 heads on a 1224 HDC...
  18. What happened to UPS detailed shipping view?

I think it also has something to do with UPS My Choice. You can find it you just have to click on the dumb tracking number to go through 3 pages instead of going right to it like it did before when you got an email notification. It's called shipping progress now.
  19. Anyone know where I can buy these?

Traditionally called track sign +1 for Siffron. https://siffron.com/6-track-sign-channel (This isn't exact but might work) You can also look here at these two other sites: https://www.theglobaldisplaysolution.com/ https://www.kinter.com/index.html
  20. Box making software

Thanks for the responses. I've downloaded packlib but it's not letting me create a user. I have an email out to them. I like the template maker. I might use that for some future projects but it doesn't have a simple shipping box which is what I'm after.
