I'm going to attempt my first wrap and could use some advice. 1) Do you recommend a print and cut for the water, website text, and blue logo instead of one solid sheet covering the whole thing? 2)sooooooo many rivets. ugh! Kill me! I hear that Rollepro is the way to go? 3) Since there are so...

  7. Need Help Perf Cutting In Flexi

Did you ever figure this problem out with the 1/4" shift? I'm having the exact same problem as you. Am I wrong in thinking that I can contour and perf in one pass?
  8. Flexi-Graphtec perf cut shiift

1st time trying to make contour cut and perf cut for a decal, so bear with me. Flexi print and cut 12, Graphtec 8600. I have a simple circle for a test. Drew the green circle in Flexi, added 2 contour cuts: one just inside the edge of the green to cut just the vinyl, the second one is 1/8"...
  9. Graphtec making noise

I have a Graphtec 8600 54" plotter, that's only a few months old out of the box. Since day 1, when the reader scrolls from right to left, it's always made a "struggling" noise as it goes from end to end to read the scanner marks on the paper. It's only 3 months old, and it still makes that...

  11. Lightest color to print without white ink

Thanks :) Thanks everyone for the tips. I printed a few color swatches out on the clear vinyl. They looked good on my indoor windows, but when I put it on a tinted auto window, they didn't show up at all. ...just as ya'll had explained. Not sure what my boss-man wants to do at this point, but I...
  12. Lightest color to print without white ink

Thanks everyone. If I cut white adhesive back vinyl by itself, then I'll need to put it all on transfer paper, right? (sorry, newbie here) Too time consuming for 500 decals. Thats why I wanted to print it on a clear vinyl. I was just wondering if anyone had any other advice for what color to...
  13. Lightest color to print without white ink

Hey, I've been asked to make a decal on a clear vinyl that will go on an automobile back window. I have a HP310 latex printer. I've gathered that the best way to make these decals stand out on a window is to make them white, but of course my printer does not print white ink. What's the next...

  15. Importing photoshop file with paths into Flexi

Holy Cow Sightline, you're spot on! Thats the easiest ways possible, dang it, why didn't I try that earlier. That worked like a charm, and I'll use that shortcut all the time now. Thanks so much!
  16. How do you store or ship banners?

Normally, to store them I wrap them around an extra core I have left over from vinyl or lam rolls. That way they don't collapse on themselves and create bends in the banner material and you can lay them flat instead of vertical. But, not everyone has extra cores laying around all the time...

  18. Variable data on decals

Excellent, thank you everyone. I'll try both apps for design and numbering. It's great to hear that Flexi does auto numbering, so I'll try that route first (thanks bannertime for the detailed directions). jfiscus, I'll try yours second, just to compare the two processes. I'll post an update.
  19. Variable data on decals

I have a decal that I need to make which has sequential numbers on it. Ultimately, it's a small 2" X 1" sticker (contour cut) with a serial number on it and some minor graphics. I only need 1 of each decal, but each decal needs it's own sequential number on it, probably going from #1-250. There...
  20. Importing photoshop file with paths into Flexi

Hello, I have a piece of art that was created in photoshop. It's a layered file, and many of the layers have shape paths made (squares or circles) that I need flexi (flexi print and cut 10) to see and cut out. If I save the PS file to an eps or a psd, when I open it into Flexi, it flattens...
