we are not using the same equipment, but using a mimaki and a graphtec 5100..... we set the media width to 52" even though it has 54" in it, other wise it does the same and tries to print the registration off the page.... in the graphtec, we have to do the "auto detect marks" option first...

when you combine two pieces that are on two different layers, after if combines it automatically changes the color to the top layers color and puts it on the top layer as well, you probably just need to move to the back or where ever and solve that issue it sounds like to me

i may be wrong, but if you charge 60 an hour and it takes under 30 minutes, say 20 minutes to do a 2X8 banner while making 30 dollars over cost of materials, i don't get 48 bucks a banner $20 to build banner, $1 a minute $16 banner material roughly $8 vinyl, generous $4 transfer tape =$48...

we tried "Estimate" and it never made it through the trial period before it was on the way back. A member here developed his own software called GraphixCalc. Worked pretty good for what we needed at the time. Currently we have upgraded to Cyrious SMS and love it, had some experience with it...
