I might have to try that, maybe just pause the print and flip them over. Just seems silly to not have the option to have them down to me. I actually emailed Mimaki support on suggesting a firmware change to do that for the rollers cause I think it would be really helpful to lots of folks.
You sound like me. Most of my work is for cannabis brands and most are not nearly as picky as I am when it comes to the prints I do for them. I bought my UCJV because I was losing customers to others who had a UV and could do the spot gloss or raised prints. I'll never get those people back but...
As printers I think most are very picky on things the average customer won't pick up on or care about most times. I'm also wondering the hardness of Roland clear ink. I don't know what the LUS numbers mean for mimaki but I know I can choose from LUS 170, 175 or 200 for my 330 machine, and the...
I only have one print from a Roland with gloss and I've done the same print here and it looks fine. Actually I found my print to be sharper feeling than the Roland, where the Roland felt like it was almost rounded. I'm not sure if it's how their software handles the lay down of the gloss so I...
Definitely use a 60 degree blade for through cuts. I'd say you're pressure for them is too high as well. I cut similar thickness with a 60 degree and only use around 32 for the pressure. Make sure you have your blade out far enough but not too far or else it'll cause some cutting quality issues...
I should've put in the things I personally don't like about it. I don't like the head wiper system. It's a roll of impregnated material and I've been running since July (not heavy usage) and I've replaced this 3x now. So it seems one last for about a month and they are $50 per cartridge. I'm not...
I have a UCJV330 and I really have enjoyed it so far, haven't had many issues to complain about. The white is really nice and does a nice job of blocking out light on clear prints. I can't really compare it to anything else since this is my first UV machine. Printing quality is really nice, I...
The error doesn't go away and doesn't give me any option to say use parts and continue. It's been up for the last week now calling for the service request.
I just ended up calling Epson for the service. I don't have any way to reset the counter unfortunately. The service is expensive and when the tech say's he'll "check to see if they need to be replaced" kinda has me thinking did I just pay $2800 for a tech to come up and look at my machine??
That's code 2000 not 200. Epson confirmed it was a tube and not the encoder. I can print fine and no issues with print quality, if it was the encoder I'm sure I'd be seeing printing issues. I had found a thread with a listing of codes the other day but I cannot find it again.
Also I forgot a...
Epson S Series Service - 0000200 This came up on my system this weekend and I looked it up and it's some kind of tube that needs to be changed out. However I am out of warranty and Epson said it would be $2800 for the service. I'm wondering if there are any independent tech in new england...
I like the fact that it will have user replaceable heads and two options for ink.

Yeah and I got the V22.5 upgrade just so I could get the free upgrade to 24. I will be mighty unhappy if that happens. I solely got this so I could run my UCJV330 on v24 which this printer still is not supported yet.
Yes this sounds like it would work to me. This is how I handle my white files right now with white and clear.
I'm also waiting for Onyx to sort things out on the 330 but if you still can't run the 300 that doesn't give me a lot of hope for seeing the 330 running through Onyx.
I like it. The print quality is really nice and the speed is decent for a UV machine. The white is nice and gloss is a great addition but you have to be mindful in how you use it. I will say I wish the take up and feed were motorized like on Epson solvent machines, or at least if the take-up had...
I do know I had my lamps at +5% but wasn't doing any overprints. Also I find it odd it's right at the edges and never happened in the middle of a clear area.
Nope. The 330 is not supported yet as far as I can tell and there are a lot of bugs with Onyx 24 with cutting it seems right now.
I've been using Rasterlink and I haven't seen any place to do anything like that but I also haven't done any banners.
I've checked those. Definitely no build-up on them. I clean my lamp glass weekly and haven't even gone through a whole set of ink yet after my install. (I have yet to change the clear and the black bottles.)
Yeah feel like I'm going to have to try some different setting and see the results. Tech was here yesterday and he said it could be it's not curing enough and if that happens the ink can pool up in certain areas.
