is it possible to print onto a mesh with out the backing with using a UV printer? All our mesh has backing on it, but i believe the ink will get stuck on the surface where the material sits?

Is there paper other than photopaper that i can use to get high colour prints from my Epson p600? Or am i stuck with using photopaper? Thanks.
