Before changing parameters, make sure your firmware is up to date and can support said changes. Also, BACK UP YOUR PARAMETERS. If you end up with issues, see if changing the parameter back fixes it.
  3. Dumb (and possibly profitable) Uses for Large UV Flatbeds?

I guess I should look more into signs, the stuff looks pretty good backlit and is way easier to mess with than putting big stickers on sheets of polycarbonate. Plus, we're in tornado alley, could be lots of repeat business.
  4. UV Cleaning Solution

If the ink isn't cured and the capping station has done its job keeping light out, UV heads are typically recoverable. WAY more often than solvent heads in my experience. The main thing is using a flushing solvent designed for the UV ink type as well as checking the lines. Not uncommon to find...
  5. Filling sub tank with sub 50% ink in bottle

Normal startup is gross, service mode for all the machines!
  6. Dumb (and possibly profitable) Uses for Large UV Flatbeds?

There's never enough stupid fun to go around.
  7. Filling sub tank with sub 50% ink in bottle

Should be fine, can just go to #adjust>subtank to fill from there.
  8. Well Color me Surprised...

Microsoft has a long history of maintaining a hard stance on things people don't like for a good few months and then folding like a wet paper bag.
  9. Well Color me Surprised...

We didn't bother with getting AI coprocessors or whatever they're called on our systems. Reminds me of dumb stuff like those short-lived PhysX cards.
  10. Well Color me Surprised...

Works fine here, Windows 11 Pro. Can also use an alternative viewer like Files, available here for free. https://files.community/
  11. Mimaki Profile Master Pro II

Had some luck using an iStudio (formerly XRite, now Calibrite) colorimeter and using it to make decent profiles that I then shuffled into RasterLink. Checking my box full of Mimaki software to see if I have one. Happen to need 30 RasterLink 6 dongles while I am at it? I think these might be it...

    He can for $10!
  13. Sticker Mule needed a permit

$1500 for a domain, rough. Jackasslabels.com is available though, for regular price of $10. Or whatever your registrar charges.
  14. Dumb (and possibly profitable) Uses for Large UV Flatbeds?

So, I am getting good at finding and fixing up Mimaki JFX's for dirt cheap. Sold a couple of them and made a good chunk of them. Are they worth running for printing though? We can run them dirt cheap (most we've ever paid for a JFX200 was $8K, and we do all repairs, mods and maintenance...
  15. Well Color me Surprised...

Thankfully they have to make an OS that works in big restrictive enterprises, so most elements can be ripped out as needed. Group policies are also a huge help.
  16. Well Color me Surprised...

We strip out lots of invasive stuff on our machines, so just adding that stuff to a powershell script or registry file is super easy when doing a fresh install, or an update changes settings. Stuff runs better when it's not bogged down with crap like advertising or junk features.
  17. Well Color me Surprised...

Just uninstalled it through powershell. Oh well, I hear 2025 will be the year of the linux desktop.

  19. Sticker Mule needed a permit

I love the extra business they bring me, but we also like dealing with small batch customers. Maybe we're just stupid, but I enjoy it. As for free publicity, the MyPillow guy was swimming in that. Last I checked they were auctioning off all their fixtures for hilariously low prices, even by...
  20. Mimaki CJV150-75 Missing Nozzles and printing fuzzy with overspray

Note that the memory board is for the parameters of the head it came with. Good to adjust the rank code when installing the new head to its code.
