I was just wondering if this stuff is actually vinyl or is it more like a tint film. Seems very rigid like polyester. For application is a regular solution of soap and water for vinyl OK or do you need a solution that would be used for Tint ( more soap)?
do you think a 2ml 3m vinyl would hold up on a mug with dishwasher cleanings? Not a wrap, but individual bold rounded copy
I do get some zany requests... I figure it would do OK in a residential dishwasher, but have never experimented.
OK I have 2 actually

I have a supplier that offers a wide range of all the gizmos and liquids that many large suppliers do not carry. They have so many items I sometimes order them just to see what they are all about.
Back in February I needed to order something but it was a small...
I only ask as a client is requesting a digital print involving a real silver look, and the only way I think I can accomplish this is to print on a 3M 2ml silver. The client also wants the graphic to be removable as it will be put on drywall. I figured maybe I could print on the silver then...
I know the procedure to get it to stop and run, but lately it seems to do it almost all the time. Today it did it and I opened it up and pushed all the boards snug and blew out some dust and pushed some more connections and plugged it back in and I got one job printed. When I released the 3...
This question has probably been asked many times, but I know that when I plug in cmyk values given for jobs, that the colours in a lot of cases could print a lot better if I knew the pantone colour and matched it myself off of the pantone charts we have charts we have.
So I ask this question...
I run my Gerber Edge off of an old computer running....now don't laugh too hard.... it runs on win2000. The issue started last week when the computer went totally dead. I figured if nothing is working then the power supply is the problem. I had an old spare at home and brought it in hooked it...
I don't know about you, but I feel like I waste so much time trying to explain to designers that I don't need each piece of a job in a separate file and then they do just that. Case in point...
I quote a job of individual graphics for a company that will be placed in different offices. A...
I have been getting more and more vehicles like sprinters and transits that have the side door that isn't a door but has a rubber seal or gasket where the 2 pieces of metal meet. graphics have no choice but to go over them and I am curious what the best method to make sure that the vinyl...
I picked up a new customer recently that is in the decal business. They do however get calls for cut vinyl and for some reason, even though they have the equipment to do this, they don't want to and send it to me and they resell it.
I love doing this kind of work as files are provided and the...
I had a batch of graphics returned as garbage from a client. We used the 7725 3m vinyl with the synthetic backer as the graphics were very intricate and small. I tried removing a decal and basically everything was stuck to the liner. I then wet each one and removed the premask. I then...
This question is for my screen printer who has an Epson for printing his artwork to shoot screens. I know iin the past he had tried the refillable cartridges as he only needed to run black but had some trouble and went back to 4 col process using OEM cartridges. Today the printer will not...
Started a print job and was sitting at my comp about 6 feet away. I bought these little tools that can only be described as dentist tools, although they are not of the same quality at $7 . In any case I use them to remove caked up ink or any other number of things around the printer and...
I have saved empty cores for years and with one certain supplier they like when I give them back to them to recycle and use again. It saves them a small pitance and I don't have to throw them into a garbage container and out to a landfill. I can only guess that over the years I have probably...
