  2. Need feedback to improve cut performance. Just finished 2,000 of these. Best practice input requested

I haven't heard of sticky mats. I'll look into that.
  3. Need feedback to improve cut performance. Just finished 2,000 of these. Best practice input requested

I didn't think about splitting the cut layers to maybe have 3 or 4 boards be the last ones that cut, to help hold the sheet in place.
  4. Need feedback to improve cut performance. Just finished 2,000 of these. Best practice input requested

It's evident that some cut out square, while others near the edge of the board, sometimes move around during the cut. Bits we tried: The T00498 Upcut Router Bit is universal and meant for cutting soft plastic, hard wood, soft wood, and gator board. The bit has a 1” Cut Length. The T00535 Upcut...
  5. Need feedback to improve cut performance. Just finished 2,000 of these. Best practice input requested

This is the eucaboard material from Home Depot, in 48x96" sheets: Eucaboard Info. We are simply cutting out 52 6" x 11" boards. Most do OK, but the last row sees some boards start to lose suction and move around. Then they aren't cut square. We have used Colex bits T00498 and T00535, and the...
  6. Has anyone rebuilt/repaired an oscillating knife?

Glad to hear they helped out. Our 2015 SharpCut 5x10 is one of my favorite pieces of equipment in the building. Haven't found them to be a nickel and dime outfit. This machine has been w workhorse, with the 3hp router. We stll have our originally oscillating knife with quite some miles on it...
  7. Need replacement printer feedback

Hi Troy, thanks for weighing in. I'd not heard of Digitech before, but I saw really good feedback once my research started. I was updating our VP of Manufacturing when he told me he'd had a VM from you. I'm ready to start in person demos later this week, and Digitech is on my list. I'll contact...
  8. Need replacement printer feedback

The R1000 is definitely on the short list. We flew to Atlanta to demo the R2000 before the 1000 was announced. We ended up keeping the EFI at the time and buying an HP Latex 570 to complement it. It's been near flawless. It's limited by the lack of white ink, which the R1000 does have. The...
  9. EFI H1625 LED Question

What did you end up deciding? Did you buy the printer? Our same machine has died and we're not reviving it. Are you happy with your used one, presuming you bought it?
  10. Need replacement printer feedback

ABCO is researching a replacement for one of our wide format printers that is no longer operational nor feasible to repair. Our EFI H1625 LED UV hybrid roll/rigid printer is 1.65m/65" wide with CMYK plus two white channels, printing onto substrates up to 50mm/2" thick. Pros: Print quality...

  12. This job scares me...

This would be a good peace of mind move to ask full payment. . Get full payment up front. If she balks at that, you have your reason to pass on the job.
  13. Recommended Router Bits

I came here today and learned something!
  14. Need Help Anyone know where to get the material to make this curb sign..looks cool!!!

In my experience, maybe. I have two on my curb at home, and I have a few here at the shop on polished concrete. Unless the polished concrete is sealed, all of the prints are holding pretty well on concete with no staining that I'm aware of.
  15. Need Help Anyone know where to get the material to make this curb sign..looks cool!!!

We used Panorama Walk&Wall (https://www.cgxusa.com/produkte/walkwall/) We print on either a HP Latex 570 or EFI H1625 LED UV
  16. NEW AND FROM TX

Welcome. We're in Big D here in Texas, too.
  17. Need Help Anyone know where to get the material to make this curb sign..looks cool!!!

WE substituted floor graphic material for this application to save a fortune. It adheres to concrete and is 1/10 the cost of the aluminum stuff. Renew every couple of years?
  18. Discussion I've owned an HP R1000 since April 2019, ask me anything

My bad. I was ONE character off. We have a Ricoh Ri-1000 (note the "i") which is a DTG printer, and I misread that you have the HP R1000, so apples and oranges. We looked at the R2000 and really liked it. Ending up deciding on adding an HP Latex 570 to our EFI H1625 instead of replacing the EFI...
  19. Discussion I've owned an HP R1000 since April 2019, ask me anything

OK, so we've had our Ri-1000 on a trial basis since last month. We use Colorgate 10 and are having mixed success. Our training was all via phoine over a couple hour period. We can't get a good print of our OWN logo or that of our best client. Both contain solid colors. Photographic stuff works...
  20. EFI H1625 LED Question

I would NOT buy the H1625 LED machine again. The liquid cooling system is overly complex and replacement pumps are $800 each (you have two per machine.) The heads are nearly $4,000 each to replace. I believe the 16H is vast improvement, having changed printhead technology and switched away from...
