  1. Dialing in cutting?

Those are all signs of improper offset setting and/or the blade is too far out. What's the offset setting set to right now?
  2. Dialing in cutting?

It looks like your blade offset setting is not correct and/or your blade is sticking out too far. I would get a 60 degree blade, Mimaki part number SPB-0003, and make sure the offset setting is correct. That should clear up the cut for smaller details. You probably have the 45 degree blade which...
  3. Discussion Exploring the Detail and Design Behind Signage in Video Games

Fallout New Vegas has a lot of good old style and neon signs. Great game too. From some of these comments, some of you need to take some time off! Work to live not live to work!
  4. 1324X mutoh valuejet not stopping after ink runs out?

A lot of my customers have switched to Bordeaux brand inks. I had another customer simply upgrade to the 1000mL bags and that seemed to fix her issue as well.
  5. 1324X mutoh valuejet not stopping after ink runs out?

That's an odd one then. It is far more common for the opposite problem to happen where the cartridges flag empty when they aren't. Did you actually shake the cartridge to see if it was empty? Sometimes the symptoms of cartridges being empty and not flagging is actually bad dampers. I can't think...
  6. 1324X mutoh valuejet not stopping after ink runs out?

Does it happen on all of your cartridges or just one color? There's a little, black, plastic lever toward the back, bottom, right side of the cartridge holder. That little lever get's pushed by a tab that sticks out of the cartridge when it's empty. They are flimsy and break easily if the...
  7. MUTOH RJ-900X NEED HELP

Ink moving back usually means air is getting in at one of the connections and it's usually the connection between the damper and ink line. I would doublecheck the o-rings to make sure they didn't rollup when sliding them onto the ink line. Sometimes they get twisted and can't make a good seal...
  8. Need Help JV150-160: one magenta line is missing

Try doing a damper swap to see if another color can print through that channel. Basically just swap the damper with the one next to it and run a cleaning. This will tell you if the issue is with the ink flow above the head or below. Then we can have a better idea of what might be causing the issue.
  9. Sp300 problems

No problem! The issue you're having now is a broken cut tool carriage cable. It's one of, if not the most common issue with these machines. It's the cable that goes from the main board to the cut tool carriage. Here's a link to the part: Cable
  10. Does it make sense to buy HP with this quality of support?

In my experience, a majority of customer service breakdowns are caused by lack of communication. It's completely possible that the sensor is on backorder but the fact that they aren't telling you is the problem. I've been selling parts for 14 years and I can tell you that the last 2-3 years has...
  11. Sp300 problems

Once you're in, there will be a new menu simply called Service Menu. In that menu you will find linear encoder setup and just hit enter. It will do the rest for you!
  12. Sp300 problems

Push the following buttons in order: down, right, left, up, right, down, left And then push and hold these buttons at the same time while powering on the machine: left, down, and right You have about 5 seconds to get it all in so it might take a few tries.
  13. Sp300 problems

Ok you need to go into service mode and run the Linear Encoder Setup. Once that is complete, the error should go away.
  14. Sp300 problems

Did you do the encoder setup in service mode or the limit position initialization?
  15. Cross contamination

Cross contamination happens for multiple reasons. In your case it could be a failing damper. Failing dampers can allow ink to drop out of the head when it's capped and it can get into the adjacent channel that way. It can also happen if the cap top is not draining properly. If your dampers are...
  16. Roland sp-300v error

It's probably the cut tool carriage trialing cables that is bad. If you keep trying to load media nd it gives you pinch roller errors and/or it measures 0.0, that's usually the case. That could be what caused the first problem in the first place as well.
  17. Stickers VS Labels, whats the difference

    Dampers, dumpers, dampeners, baffles. . . . . . I agree!
  18. Roland sp-300v error

Internal errors are errors that the machine knows something went wrong but doesn't know what. The manual just says to restart the printer but running the limit position initialization could also work. If it keeps happening it's most likely a main board issue but it could be any board in the...
  19. Dx5 print head

I believe the official spec is 3 lbs of pressure.
  20. Valuejet 1204E fails to detect when out of ink

Yeah it's been hit or miss. Most people aren't having issues but I definitely get more calls about ink cards not reading or heads and maintenance stations clogging more often on these models with the new ink. A lot of my customer have switched to Bordeaux with good results.
