  1. Thanks for having me!

    Welcome
  2. Hiring operator for more passive operations replacing owner. Need advice.

Just my 2 cents, but you probably want to hire 2 people, 1 Production Manager, that could oversee the production staff and help you with sales and then 1 production person who would run the machines and do the pre-installation portions. If your installers are able to, you could have them help...
  3. Roland SP300 - Yellow Dropping

Did you replace the cap tops? What does the nozzle test look like? Another thing to make sure of is that if there is ink getting to the damper and that you don't have an air leak.
  4. GX-24 Repairs

Okay, if you can actually see the cutter, then it shouldn't be an issue with the port on the board.
  5. GX-24 Repairs

Unfortunately with older machines, your left on your own for the most part. I don't have this cutter, so wouldn't be able to help with a walk through, sorry.
  6. GX-24 Repairs

It could be the port on the motherboard has gone in it, the one where the USB printer cord plugs in, especially if you say it's loose. Had some similar that happen to one of our SP-300V's where the port went in it. Have you tried a different USB printer cord to confirm that wasn't the issue?
  7. Need Help Roland BN-20 won't shoot ink.

I'd call your local Roland Dealer and speak to them, they usually have a tech on staff or could refer one to you.
  8. Need Help Roland BN-20 won't shoot ink.

Alright, typically when it's the fuse, it will print the nozzle test, just not print anything else. My guess is that the head might be shot / clogged, but doesn't hurt to try the fuse first. You could try to connect a syringe to the line after the cap top and try to pull ink and see if anything...
  9. Need Help Roland BN-20 won't shoot ink.

Does it print a nozzle test?
  10. Roland VS 540 missing colour channels

Maybe check the cap top condition and if it hasn't been changed in the last 6 months, start there and replace it. You could always try a 48 hour head soak.
  11. 1614 nothing prints

Yes, unfortunately, they are too good to believe. We tried some for our Roland at one time as my Boss wanted to save money, but ended up costing us more as one caused more troubles and we ended up in the end paying the extra and getting a genuine head. In all honesty, the price tag looks bigger...
  12. 1614 nothing prints

By refurbished, hope you don't mean a Aliexpress pick-up, as you get what you pay for from them, never good. That head could have ink or something in the circuitry causing a short which then blows the fuse.
  13. Roland VG VG2 640 Damper question

Not certain about O-rings, but it certainly sounds like either an air leak in the line or you need a new damper.
  14. Light gray completely clogged

    Glad to hear.
  15. Roland VP-VS, where can I buy cutter pad ? O.5mm

Best bet would be as mentioned above then. Mark Snelling does sell Roland Equipment and might be able to help.
  16. Roland VP-VS, where can I buy cutter pad ? O.5mm

Where are you located? If in Canada, my supplier might have some, as I just bought a couple last week for my VS-300i.
  17. Light gray completely clogged

I'd recommend changing it every 6 months. If it's that old, it would be worth changing, but you can do the 48 hour head soak first, and then change it, that way it will have a fresh cap top.
  18. Light gray completely clogged

You could try a 48 hour head cleaning. Another thing to make sure is that the Cap top isn't too old, might need to replace it.
  19. SP 300i : doesn't do self cleaning properly...

With these printers, you cannot really leave them for a few days without use, these printers want to run, they don't do well with prolong no use. If you're just talking about over the weekend, you should be okay. I've noticed over the years that it doesn't appear my SP-300V's do much when they...
