  1. Cutting 100 sheets per day

It would be helpful to know what kind of equipment, RIP, workflow you have. There is a wide range of automation available but making suggestions without knowing what you're currently using or have access to you would be pointless.
  2. Best RIP? Most Reliable? Fewest Problems?

Hey Christian, I'd also be interested in hearing some tips to get different cuts to work well through Onyx to Summa cutters!
  3. How do you keep consistent colours on roll to roll printer? (Epson SC80600)

I know based on the Gamut checker in Onyx, we're hitting around 93% of Coated PMS colors on our 4 color S60600 with custom profiles. I would imagine running a S60800 would open that up a bit further into the high 90's.
  4. Tech-Challenged Boss Reconciling Online Purchases

Hire a bookkeeper that can do these things in a tenth of the time? Doesn't sound like he's the right guy for that kind of work, or for using computers in general for that matter.
  5. Need Help Pricing Help

Welcome to Signs 101! Have you checked out this thread? https://www.signs101.com/threads/what-formula-do-you-use-to-quote-a-job.62708/ Should be some good info for you there.
  6. Onyx question: what trim markings work when you have a tiled job with no contrast?

Onyx will print the marks for you (outside of print area)

    Same here.
  9. Close Front Cover Message

Can you shove something into the sensor to trip it? That's what we did on our Rolands.............so we could open it without it pausing the print. Paperclip worked well if I recall correctly.
  10. Lase engraver

    Very helpful...............
  11. Grainy prints engineer visited

I just checked an old Roland chart we had printed a couple years ago and those "Strong" swatches definitely have some grain in them. The PR swatches are fairly solid. (Printed on XR-640) Which profile did you use to print the swatches? If you use a high quality setting does it improve the...

Printer? Ink configuration? Age? Nozzle Check ok?
  13. Moving from Roland VG2-640 to Epson S80600

No problem, any questions regarding the differences between Roland/Epson VW/Onyx just ask. We started using Onyx 10 or so years ago (Came with our flatbed) and we gradually moved all our printers/cutters to this workflow. Versaworks is a great OEM RIP and is easy to use, but Onyx opens up a...
  14. Looking for Holographic Cardstock

Great to know, thank you! I will check it out. Good luck with the search, hope you can find some material that does the trick.
  15. Moving from Roland VG2-640 to Epson S80600

We went with from a Roland XR-640 to an Epson S60600, and we're very happy with it so far. They're built quite differently but so far I like it much better than our Rolands, even after running them for 15 years. We had white on the XR but it wasn't worth it so just ended up plugging cleaning...
  16. Looking for Holographic Cardstock

Have you printed on cardstock before on your UCJV? Sorry, I can't help with the holo stock, but you've peaked my interest.
  17. Waiting for apocalyptic rain and wind from Hilary.....

Yeah the wildfires have been out of hand this year in Canada. Seems to be the new norm now, smoke coming in from all angles. Minor inconvenience for us but I feel really bad for all the people being displaced/evacuated due to their towns being burned to the ground.
  18. Waiting for apocalyptic rain and wind from Hilary.....

Will they be changing the name to Drowning Man now.....................?
  19. TX Sublimation Equipment - 2 Epson F6200, 4 DK20 Swing Presses, Ink, Paper and Racks

I wish I was a lot closer to you, I'd buy it all off you and come pick up. 22 hour drive each way isn't really ideal at the moment. Good luck with the sale, lots of goodies there!
