Thanks for the info. It is my main computer for design and cutting vinyl plus email and browsing, so maybe I need to upgrade but fearful of how Signlab will deal with it...running version 8

Get the message this morning and Microsoft suggests buying a new computer over installing 10 over 7. I like 7 and it seems very stable...Have 10 in a laptop and have never really liked it Your thoughts?

    Thanks Mike....
  4. w do you remove or minimize the cloud window?

Yes on the subscription version there is this window that uses the entire right side of the screen and I can't find anywhere to minimize it...see attached
  5. w do you remove or minimize the cloud window?

I find that window takes up to much space on the screen but can't seem to find a way to close it. Can it be closed or minimized out of the way?
  6. van lettering should i go with the molding line or use a level?

This issue seems to be getting more difficult as cargo vehicles have some pretty funky lines on them now. The worse part about it is that you fiddle around on one side taping and re-taping and standing back to get a good view and then you make the decision to go with what you have....Then you...
  7. Interesting dilemma

I have been doing work for this particular customer for over 10 years... I do plenty of custom banner stands as well. Never issues...but this is a different dept. The only way I am reprinting this job is if they actually tell me what colour they actually want I know that my client realizes we...
  8. Interesting dilemma

I would say you are generally correct except in this case it is a big bank and the colour is the colour...a little due diligence on their end and they would realize that what they got was correct, even according to their own branding specs...but I am a supplier to a supplier and can't get my...
  9. Interesting dilemma

The colour I printed is actually the pantone colour...The client is most likely using the screen colour as what they think a 289 looks like...It does not. I mean even a google search of that credit card matched the darker blue we printed.
  10. Interesting dilemma

One of my largest customers who I do work for on a regular basis for their clients sent me an order for 15 retractable banner stands along with a pdf file of the artwork. I set the file up and made a proof to be sent back and it was approved. After the order was sent out I received a call from...

Thank you... I have no idea what it all means but I will copy and paste this for him to work on with his computer guy
  12. Trying to get a ROLLAND CAM 1 PRO GX 500 to cut using an old version of Flexi Photo print

I bought a new printer last month and decided to give my old jv3 to my screen printer to help him make more sales on small runs of decals for his clients. Along with the printer I gave him the computer with the Flexi photo print software. He found a plotter with an electronic eye (ROLLAND CAM...
  13. the dreaded double cut

Even today I found something strange in Flexi. In the default colour swatch at the bottom of the screen there are 3 or 4 greys. I was looking for a silver colour and when I clicked on them each one's name was not the colour but it said cut contour...there was even one that said perf contour...
  14. the dreaded double cut

designing in Signlab exported as an eps to flexi for the past 12 years.
  15. the dreaded double cut

Every once in a while on my old Flexi I could get a double cut and I always found it strange how it happens. With the new Flexi 19 within 1 week I have had 3 or 4 jobs with a double cut. I chose what I want as a contour cut and I only do it once. I wonder if there could be a slight keyline in...
  16. How does Flexi save print info?

Yes, your right... I found the solution in Program manager. You can pre set the profile and all your settings so each time you start a new file everything is pre set to basically what you want, although if you need to make changes you can do that in the print and rip area job by job
  17. How does Flexi save print info?

Sorry I may have worded it wrong. I have the profiles, what I found strange was that if I set the job up using any particular profile, later if I reopened the file it default back to the profile at the top of the list. I think I found something in the print manager that saves the settings and...
  18. Flexi19 RIP issues

    Good to hear.
  19. How does Flexi save print info?

I am a bit confused about this. As some might know as I have posted a thread each day as new issues arise...I have moved from a Mimaki jv3 to a new Mimkai jv150. I also went from a 12 year old Flexi photo print to the subscription full package of Flexi.... Most everything is similar, but there...
