Buy the cheapest Chinese printer you can get your hands on. It will give the best education you can get about printers.

Doesn't seem like a problem to me. Peel the plastic off wipe it with a dust cloth or a brush. 5 seconds for each blank. If this is a big problem in your shop consider yourself lucky.

Foam on its own without some kind of support or framing is a no no. Especially if you don't paint the back as well and have a face that is dark colored.

I like the clouds in the pic of a faceless sign. That thing looks pretty big. Flex face retro fit. and a helicopter rental fee to install.

If I had to do it I would Make a nice stencil and use spray paint. Can't think of reason to do it any other way.

If I was your installer I would be complaining too. Some of those cheap tapes are a pain to work with. I would recommend 3m stuff.

2 sided tape has always worked for us. Never had a failure.

Your not going to get much of a dimensional look layering even the thickest ACM. Since this is a print you can create a very convincing illusion of dimension Shadows etc. It will make a better looking sign than going through the hassle of layering that does nothing.
