Depends what you need it for. We have about 4 different combinations when it comes to floor graphics.
We have basic stuff, that’s used for hard floors, this is the cheapest, doesn’t need laminated and still has an R12 slip rating. Lasts ~6 months with moderate traffic and we’ve had a few...
This. Canon made a big thing about being able to print 159 sqm/hour on our Colorado but I haven’t even bothered to make profiles for it on anything other than cheap banner. The print is horrible and washed out looking. Not to mention crazy banding. (Could probably fix the banding but no point)...
I only asked because we have a Colorado that can literally print 16x faster than our old mimaki but still use the mimaki every now and then for small jobs while the Colorado is doing larger runs
I’d go for an XY cutter as previously mentioned, we got one a couple months ago and I’d say it’s cut somewhere between 10,000-20,000 posters/vinyls/signs/banners so far. It’s done the work of about 8 employees in a fraction of the time.

Had someone complain about a banner...
Sounds a lot like you can automate pretty much all of this in indesign.
If you set up the file correctly you can merge photos/text into the file.
there’s scripts that will fit the text to your text box size
maybe a master page for the cut marks? Depending on the marks they should be on the...
Way too many variables here; if it’s not our materials, we don’t offer a warranty as we can’t guarantee the materials used are any good and can’t even go back to the supplier to resolve any issues.
It really depends on how much you were running the machine but when we figured in the costs, we could have bought a new print head every 4-6 weeks with the money we were saving on OEM vs third party inks.
We’re still on the same head since the switch but it saved a LOT of money. Enough money...
