  1. Flexi compatibility issue...16 bit vs 64 bit

I believe you can run a backwards compatible os under 10. Or some such mess. Not a computer guy but someone here might be able to help. I am upgrading my signlab for the same reason. It is running on an old win7 pc but need it in newer os to run newer tools. Oh for the days when an upgrade meant...
  2. Grimlite

Our driver told us they are all being let go. I guess they will use a courier service now $$.
  3. Grimlite

Because of their history with double billing my card. Grimco also had a bad habit of sending me pre-destroyed stock and charging for product that was yet to show up or never showed up. Had accounts with both at one time, my credit is certainly not an issue. It's all about their service and...
  4. Ongoing Print Issues on my RF640

only way to find out is to switch.
  5. Grimlite

I paid tubelite cod. Decided to do it that way to avoid their useless accounting sending multiple bills for one delivery, etc. They still would send me bills occasionally and I would have to remind them that we paid cod. We were using tubelite because Grimco was even worse. Now they want a...

  7. Grimlite

So Grimco has acquired Tubelite. Shouldn't take long to destroy all the things we like about Tubelite.
  8. Should I buy this saw?

I have this exact saw. Paid 1200 for it 23 years ago. Still works perfectly. I am on the second blade. The blades are pretty much a funky off size and not cheap, I paid 250 for the second one but if used properly they last years. My first is actually out being sharpened so I can swap out blades...
  9. Looking for Software Alternatives

I'm a die hard signlab guy. About to upgrade for new toys.
  10. Print & Cut onto Metallic material / smashed glass

If you have white ink capabilities, use it. You will have a terrible time with holographic, mirrored and chrome, finding reg marks to plot after printing on these materials. If you can slam a block of white where reg marks will be (good luck) then it might read them. The light reflecting off of...
  11. With a heavy heart!!

Site was at it's best under Fred. Genuine nice guy. RIP
  12. Epson Support is TERRIBLE!

Roland warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Just paid over 1200 to replace a motherboard in a 9 month old machine under warranty. Glad I did't get the extended. Add to that it has the worst plotter I have ever cut vinyl with on the cutting side. Will be my first and last roland.
  13. Repairing clear acrylic ?

Track saw is fine, blade should be carbide triple chip with as many teeth as you can find. Can be pricey but worth it. If you can trim it and it still be size needed for job I would.
  14. Discussion What Squeegee Does Everyone Use

I use the lidco felt on one edge 6" squeegee for 90% off applications of vinyl. I use the 12" to lay down transfer tape and then burnish with the 6". Wear 'em out, toss 'em, order more.
  15. Vinyl for wallpaper

See if you can find anything similar. Vinyl will give you grief as to where the non vinyl solutions tend to fare better on painted sheetrock.

  17. Prints on clear acrylic

Miiror print on lam than top laminate that with white. I have done hundreds and hundreds of second surface full color liquor ads this way for distributors to use at the liquor stores they service.
  18. Silver Vinly Rusting?

  19. Printing Screen Positives

That looks like either when I'm not paying attention and load a sheet of film in my desktop printer on the wrong side or too much ink. Maybe curing. If it is clean from the printhead and spreads and hasn't before I go along with maybe bad film. Interested to see what happens with another brand.
  20. Sharpie on laminate

You would be amazed (or maybe not) at what rapid remover can do. Or even wd40. Maybe.
