Congrats!!! It's great having a resource like this. Wish I had access to a forum when I first began. Everyone in this industry seemed to be so secretive back in the day.
No Fellers in Toronto, but it is the largest market in Canada, so finding a job at any of the suppliers probably would not be too difficult, especially if you know your stuff.
Received this online flyer for Oracal removable calendered vinyl. I am interested in a vinyl like this for printing, but the description baffles me.
ORAJET® Series 3621 Removable Econo Vinyl is an economical 3mil, 4-year
calendered inkjet media, a perfect choice for short-term...
I ordered some perma grip from ND, but it only comes 15" punched and I want to run it on the large format printer..... what else is out there that has a strong adhesive?
I am building a sign face using ex12 extrusion. How much bigger than the acrylic does the finished frame have to be to allow for expansion and contraction? This one is just a frame with no box and is about 12' x 30". Would 1/4" be enough?
This is driving me crazy...I seem to be getting these fine razor blade type cuts on the top of my thumbs for the past 5 or 6 weeks. I know it is coming from alumapanel. I never catch it happening and only discover it a short while later. They are like paper cuts but because they are on the...
I learn't that lesson just last year after being in this business for a long time. Seems strange that Gerber has a wider colour selection than 3M.... I also get better pricing on Gerber- 3M than 3M , 3M WTF is with that?
A guy I work with took on a job for a rather large hotel chain and they had pre cut graphics ready to be installed. They were 3M dusted crystal graphics...about 6 - 10 pieces about 48" x 96". I have always warned him about taking on jobs that you are working with someone else's product and...
namemyboat.com.....customer comes in with a printout of a name for his boat...19" high letter spanning 64" 2 colours vinyl cut.... his price? $35.00 which also includes the city below the copy in about 2 - 3" copy.
I figure my cost on 2 ml vinyl alone for this job is close to $40.00 and...
Make your customer love you.... offer to put their logo somewhere on that chart so it is custom made for them..... if you already have their logo on file it costs you nothing, and I can guarantee you will make your contact a star with his superior.
OK...figured it out.... I left the initial cutline as a cut line and forgot to turn contour off....good thing it didn't print as it would have attempted to cut the logo inside the decal....I find it weird as a cutline that it allowed itself to combine with a white box....
That title is not entirely accurate. here is the issue. I have a bitmap that has some rough edges and I made a cutline to cut off the areas I don't want after printing. That will print fine, but the other part of this job is a decal on white. I figured if I left the cutline in there and...
