Thanks Skull, I guess you have confirmed that it is an issue...One that for whatever reason Cadlink seems to ignore. I won't be upgrading anytime soon.
Thank you for the responses..... I don't need help with the file, I know that Flexi does not seem to have a problem with it, so I open it there, dump the bitmap and export out as an eps file. I just find it odd that Flexi has no problem with the file and can even break the masks, yet Signlab8...
yes, they included a photo, but the rest of the file is all vectored lettering...so Signlab just treats the entire file like it is a bitmap and when the box opens asking for dpi settings to import the file, I guess it just turns the entire file into a bitmap....not good
I have Signlab 8 and received a pdf file that has bitmaps and vectors mixed. When I import the file a box opens asking me the resolution I want. When the file opens on screen it seems to be one bitmap and can't seem to find a way to separate the vector parts.
Now I also run an older...
I have been using the bottle type replacement cartridges for my Mimaki now for over 2.5 years. Prints great, in fact I feel the ink is better than OEM. Having said that, I have now been experiencing problems for the last 3 or 4 months.
One day when starting up the printer, it had trouble...
I dont think I have ever done a firmware update in 8 years.... I run jetbest ink on permanent chips and that worked well for 2.5 years, then problems started. Now the machine wont print and we have installed all new chips. It sees some and not others. We then installed an actual 440 cartridge...
sorry...let me start over.
The designer rents space from me and I have nothing to do with any of it..(except I too do work for the company requesting the files). In any case a good friend of his worked for this company in a fairly top position. He was disgruntled and left the business. The...
I have a designer who works with me, but not for me. One of his friends worked at a company and they gave him a fair amount of business. the friend has now quit his job and the client is asking for their files as they do have someone working on site that can design ( not one tenth as good as...
Seriously? stuff is way overpriced and due to the air egress weeding is brutal and after that the numbers can generally fall right off the backing paper...sorry, been there done it...
sorry, yes it is 280.... I have tried just about every reflective on the market and always found weeding to be the biggest problem with most...but the 280 weeds better than most any other vinyls. The weeding is important as I purchase it basically for one main customer who orders thousands...
Other than the price being about $3.00 more per yard in the 15" size from my supplier....just wondering if there are any actual differences. One is Edge ready, the other is not...that basically means it might be a bit cleaner, but outside of that I have no clue
I am a little ticked off as I...
a rather large supplier up here in Toronto offered me what he called end of roll laminate. $80.00 per roll (54") I was sceptical naturally and bought 2 rolls. I used it primarily for cheap customers and signs that were never meant for any long term use. I used it all up and reordered 2...
Yes I know about the using the %age of black only, but that would mean turning colour correction off and that will effect the blues and yellows also in the file.
I knew it would be problematic. I ran some tests for some 3' x 6' banners that have a complete grey background. I matched the colour pretty good under indoor lighting. I took the swatch outside and I will say that if I wanted to see a slight mossy greey grey I could, but I could also...
