  2. top and bottom edge prints do this quite a bit!!!

Yes it is true that Duracoat can run at lower temps and usually I do. On that last run I actually increased the temp hoping it would help, but only made it worse...lowering all the way to print more. Man I hate screwing up reflective $$$$
  3. top and bottom edge prints do this quite a bit!!!

A black sharpie might fix it as far as the look, but that's all fine and dandy if you like giving your customers inferior quality goods. A black sharpie will fade within 1 week outside in the sun. These numbers go on hydro boxes and usually are on forever.

I would love to know what causes this awful print to happen on my edge le. This particular one is on yellow reflective. It appears in nearly all the bottom numbers and can occur at the top as well. I am running Duracoat super opaque black. I think it is the edges of the foil curling up or...

  8. Calling all SignLab Gurus...

I spend a lot of time diddling with that function and only to change one line of non sequential numbers and text. I guess because I do it so infrequently, it's like relearning it everytime I attempt it. The end results are worth the 4 or 5 tries getting files correct as it saves so much time
  9. I have not seen my printer ever do this before...

yes there is that white area every 12" or so through out as it was one bitmap sent 6 times...Doesn't look like it printed the last one but made all the moves like the others. What I mean by that is that it did that slow creep, then stop like it was getting ready to print again, but just didn't...

it may indeed have this feature, but I have one of these to control the rooftop for the front of the unit and it is programmed to come on at the same time, yet because I came in early it had not kicked in yet...so either I have one with the feature and one without, or I am just losing my mind...

I am printing a logo wall for a trade show and set the file up staggered once with 16 small logos. I then repeated it 6 times. the total distance was about 20 feet. I worked from a bitmap file. I get down to about the 94% complete and then I happen to glance at the printer and it has what...

  13. programable thermostat question

I have a programmable thermostat for my back shop and have it timed to lick down to 60 degrees at 5pm and then back to 68 at 8 am... Came in this morning early (7:30) and the heat is on and running at 68. I went through all the programming and everything looks fine. It has a secondary time...

  16. best way to adhere galvanized steel to alumapanel?

I need to produce a magnetic dry erase board 4x4, which is not an item you can buy, so in the past I have used 20 gauge galvanized steel. I want to buy a thinner sheet of galvanized steel and adhere it to alumapanel. What are some of the methods I can use to put them together without fear...
  17. Contour cutting reflective!!HELP

to cut the gloss and silvering down so that the cutter can read the reg marks correctly, I have actually found that rubbing the mark with an eraser not only dulls the surface but creates a bit of heat eliminating the silvering around the mark.

  19. CMYK Bright Orange?

A bright orange is very difficult for me to achieve. I did manage to get one but it required using a softer orange with a double hit. The colour was very good, but if any other colour is present, you need to figure out how to make it with a 2 pass.... a pain for sure, unless the job is worth the...
