  4. I'm an Epson printer field technician. AMA

Referring to the S-Series, which model do you feel is the best bang for the buck? do you prefer the 4, 6, or 8 as far as quality, maintenance, and easy of use is concerned? Would you recommend a lightly used one over a new one if the price were at least 1/2 what a new one costs? Just curious...

  10. Best Template Font?

What is the best font to use when creating a temple? My customer will need a few hundred templates to use for painting words on parking space walls in a multi-level garage. I was going to print on Avery DPF adhesive vinyl so they can stick on the wall, rattle-can spray paint, then come back...
  11. UV Printer & Prints Making us Sick

Interesting. I have a HP UV flatbed, and when it goes through it’s automatic printhead maintenance cycle you can smell the ink...especially when standing next to the machine but otherwise no noticeable smell. Maybe because I have a 4,000sf open floor shop with high ceilings?? I also keep yard...
  12. Anyone going to ISA in Orlando in April?

I’m only there to see the American and European vendors, never really stopped at the Chinese booths but that’s just me. ;)
  13. What printer to get Epson or HP

HP latex 365 is a workhouse. I haven’t done anything to it in a almost 3 years, except put ink in it. No maintenance whatsoever. It has yet to let me down. With that being said, I’m not opposed to adding an Epson Surecolor 6 or 8 series to my lineup.
  14. CWT or Foster cutter?

Grab a cheap flight to Orlando April 2-5 for the ISA show, you can spend all day at the CWT booth if you want.

Is it worth that big lease payment?
  16. ONYX THRIVE19

I had the same issue with Flexi19. Ripped fast, bought a new pc that was much beefier, reinstalled the rip and now the rip process takes forever. Ironically it just effected the speed to my HP FB550 and not to the HP latex machines, they still rip about the same speed as before. Weird.
  17. Any used flatbeds? Fb500/700?

Nah, anything I can print from a roll goes through the Latex 365, it’s better quality (deeper/richer/solid colors), if I didn’t have it, I would opt for the FB roll accessory though.
  18. Any used flatbeds? Fb500/700?

No real need for the roll-to-roll option on mine since I have HP latex roll-to-roll. As the white option is a $10K upgrade, I couldn’t see the ROI for it so I took it off my order before receiving my 550.
