  1. Laptop completely dead not 2 weeks old

I purchased a 17" Lenovo laptop 2 weeks ago online and at $550.00 thought it was a great deal....until last night. Got home plugged it in and hit the power button.....nothing. Not even the led light was on showing power was plugged in. Checked the power bar checked the connection, but why...
  2. Banner for a parade... how to do?

I keep trying to convince them that this is the best way, even if you run 2 side by side
  3. Banner for a parade... how to do?

I have a request for a banner for a parade. They are asking for one anywhere from 20 - 30 feet across. I figure a pole pocket at the top with a srries of aluminum poles that fit together, but they would definitely need 2 people at least to walk in the middle of the banner and that's where I...
  4. sending eps files from Signlab keylines disapear

This was not an issue a few months back, but now whenever I send eps files for print and import them to Flexi, my outside cut lines (keyline) does not seem to come through. I have to send files with a colored box around them for flexi to see it. Maybe it is a Signlab 8 problem via windows updates?
  5. Nissan NV - What do you use as a baseline?

The problem with both those vehicles is that if you line it up with the lower baseline about middle of the truck, it looks crooked and the same for the top. I line it up with the lower then I raise the cockeyed side a bit and it always seems to be OK. I have done about 5 of them and have not...

  8. removing cut vinyl from a wrapped vehicle

I called this morning and I found out what the problem really was. Most of the decals came off OK, it was the rear bumper that was giving all the problems and that was because the bumper is carbon fiber which I guess wrap film does not adhere as well as paint.... They now applied a coating of...

  11. Too much in receivables

We run about $40,000, but they are within terms. Sometimes taking the hit on Visa is worth it just to get paid immediately. I often wonder why we even have terms for 75% of our clients as they are not reselling the items, so if you don't want to pay me now, why would you want to pay me later...
  12. removing cut vinyl from a wrapped vehicle

I have a race car (they pay!!) and the entire car is wrapped. All the sponsors however are done in vinyl and depending on what it is, we either print it on the mimaki or the Edge and some we vinyl cut. The car is being used for a campaign between races and they have to take off all the race...
  13. Retractable Banner Scratching? how to prevent

How do you apply the Clearshield Bob? I had tried it years ago using foam rollers to get the product on, then I used a foam roller that would not roll to lightly go over everything and smooth out the coating.
  14. Retractable Banner Scratching? how to prevent

I always found scuffing issues were caused more from low heat print temperatures.
  15. Cheap Vinyl/lam? tell me why not to use it.

I tested a 3ml lam on a 3ml print on a rear entry door that faces the sun. Print lasted a good 3 years with little fade....after that it made it to the 5 year mark with noticeable fading. year 6 looked like it was attacked by a rusty coloured mould. Of course there was shrinkage, but...
  16. Monomeric Laminate on Polymeric Vinyl ?? First newbie Error!

None of my distributors of laminates have ever described their products as mono or poly. I will assume I have been using mono for all calendered applications.
  17. Monomeric Laminate on Polymeric Vinyl ?? First newbie Error!

Oddly enough I have never even thought about this issue regarding laminates...only cast vs calendered
