I am importing a Chicom laser and it is spec-ed out with LaserCut 6.1... but I cannot find almost nothing about 6.1
and it seems to have a different control board from 5.3- so not backward compatible. Anyone with knowledge to share?
Thanks Gene
This about 3 yrs old- works well. It takes 54" material but will cut 49.5". We now have a 64" printer... so... if we could sell this we would buy a GX640. Gene
One of the things I was sad about loosing when we went from FlexiPro 5.7 to 7.x was the ability to do a diagonal
selection- I don't recall exactly the key combo to do it now. We have a seat of FSP designer 12 now- has that ability
ever come back. I was just needing it today and thought I would...
I am sure I have seen this somewhere (seems like one of the mag sheeting mfg?) for a dry erase board application. I can't come up with the proper search term. Thanks Gene
I have a RF which I believe to be a VS without the cut function and is always configured as 2xcmyk. I have a couple questions
about the Versaworks printing of spot colors- has been driving me out what little mind I have left. Thanks Gene
I have been going back and forth with Roland Tech for 6 weeks now on a problem where 5.2 (upgraded to 5.3) that came with my new RF printer is changing the
cmyk values on some DP and DK and sometimes ST spot colors. They are now satisfied that it is not the printer but they cannot understand...
Is anyone else experiencing problems with some of the deep and dark spot colors- not all of them- the pr and st colors are good. I have been
going around with Roland tech for 5 weeks and they seem to have given up. Thanks Gene
I have never understood how this works (360x720, 540x720, 1440x720 for instance). How do these differ from 360x360, 720x720 etc. I am trying to
resurrect my old i1 pro (it actually did the diagnostic test fine- the resurecting would be digging the old info out of my brain). Thanks Gene
Picked a spot from our chart and got a completely different color... so started poking around in the file format section and then the
spot color detail section and noticed this: (Pict)
The Library Output is correct but the printer output is quite different. I have been checking different...
I would like to print a new PMS chart with my new printer/ink and noticed that there is a spot library
for PMS c . I have not found a chart that has the colors named correctly. Gene
I use Vworks and I am pretty much happy with it. I have a RF and profiles are pretty scanty and very slow for this machine. We print almost
exclusively Roland Spot colors and print only what we design. My spot colors are over saturated and dry slowly... my understanding is they
are not...
I have been running my RF pretty hard for a month (probably a dozen rolls of media) and it was still printing fine but I thought
maybe I should do a cleaning on it. The wiper and wiper carriage were really gucked up... with stalactites of dried ink hanging from the
carriage. The scraper was...
My VP has movable rollers so I could set where the registration marks printed (for the GX500 on 54" media it has to be 3" over on the left).
The new RF doesn't have movable rollers... is there a way aside from setting the base point for each print to do this? Thanks Gene
So... is there any online info on how to tweek VW profiles to make them work better for you? I have a good profile for my RF-640 (printing on 54") that looks great but
does not print as fast as my VP. This machine is cmykkymc and my understanding is it should be faster. Thanks Gene
