Really, any cutter will work as long as your RIP supports it. We have Mimaki and Summa cutters here with out Epsons. I have also used Roland, Gerber and Graphtec plotters and all of them have worked great. We like our Epsons here and the options that the S70 series provide.

I feel stupid asking this, but care to share what exactly a mylar decal is? I thought I had used every type of material, but I can't remember ever using mylar for any reason.

looks like you had bad dampers or bad seal on the capping station, but swapping the cables seems to have caused more issues. :(

You will still have the same trouble cutting before printing. Actually, I bet it will be worse. You HAVE to wait until the decals FULLY outgass before you can plot the vinyl. I assume you're not laminating or waiting (on the solvents to outgass) to laminate either?

Check your outlet is working. Check your cables are firmly plugged into the machine. Check the power switch on the REAR of the machine is "on". Check the power switch on the front of the machine is "on". The next steps require you to open panels on the machine and check fuses.

I think you are looking for Imposition software, possibly "Quite Imposing" or "Fiery RIP" would make good choices? Been quite a while since I used those softwares.
