  1. Window perf too transparent

We did a window perf job inside a "see thru" trophy case, the case is in a wall between two rooms with glass on both sides. They wanted to be able to still see out of the back room but gain some privacy and not block the light. I was concerned if it would work the way they wanted and it doesn't...
  2. Starting Out / Generating Business

Sounds like you have the experience and set up that should instill confidence in most clients. Working from a shop on your property shouldn't make a difference, depending on the area lots of trades probably do the same. I always think the best way to get some business, especially with you...
  3. I never wrapped before, but it's my truck ????

Your own vehicle is the perfect opportunity to see how it goes. I would choose a color that goes with the existing paint job just in case you discover that wrapping some areas is beyond your level. For instance I know someone who has a grey Mazda and they wrapped it teal, when certain areas...

  5. Question How to ship Foam-cor?

There are lots of ways, most involve some type of bubble or foam wrap and/or cardboard, scrap foamcore or coro protection. If you do a lot you can probably buy some boxes and sleeves meant for just that purpose. My best suggestion is to not use foamcore in the future, use PVC instead. I stopped...

  9. Best way to produce this?

Yea you could spend the time to do all the research on acid etching or find someone to sandblast frost it for you...hell why not have the glass custom blown...after all it's for a vacation home in Cancun, so if they're willing to spend the money sure it'd possible, but the original question was...

  13. Question Just so I have this straight.........................

Question - if somebody posts "hey I'm looking for X to be fabbed for me" and I fab X, can I reply "I can make that for you" if I'm not an MM? (I know I can reply, you know what I'm asking here) Like Gino said there was a time that was frowned upon, usually referrals were acceptable even if they...

  16. Banner Install HELP

You can use the tape idea, but it will require cleanup afterwards. I would prefer doing a 6 panel vinyl print and see if you can make the design work with the mullions
  17. Can anyone help me find this sign hardware?

Agree. looks like it might have been shop made, but any decent 2" aluminum post & panel system should work fine and no one will notice the difference.

wow, since the floor sealer hasn't been applied yet I would consider all options... contact the company doing the floors and/or the comp[any that makes the floor/sealer see if they have a suggestions. Also ask 3M if maybe there is an overlaminate vinyl that could be applied over the prints...
