The margins adjust both sides at the same time and nowhere near 3". There is an offset in VWorks but it does not move the registration marks- same
with manually adjusting the job in the layout in VW. Thanks but I have tried this stuff... there is something eluding me I think. Gene
My VP has movable rollers so I could set where the registration marks printed (for the GX500 on 54" media it has to be 3" over on the left).
The new RF doesn't have movable rollers... is there a way aside from setting the base point for each print to do this? Thanks Gene
I also have an older iOne spectro that I profiled my current VP540 with 5+ years ago. I was 64 then and the years have worn me down but I should take another
look at that... and possibly Castek's coaching services. I have a new younger partner who will be dealing with this long after I am gone...
So... is there any online info on how to tweek VW profiles to make them work better for you? I have a good profile for my RF-640 (printing on 54") that looks great but
does not print as fast as my VP. This machine is cmykkymc and my understanding is it should be faster. Thanks Gene
I regularly cut 20 foot logos with our GX-500 and I consider it way more accurate than the Roland VP. Keep in mind that the wider the
vinyl the easier it is to line up.
I am back from vaca and playing with this again, good prints but not nearly as fast as I hoped. The profiles I have found are 8 pass- that might be the problem. Found some more profiles on Roland japan website (RG- not RGA) and on Oracal : http://www.orafol.com/gp/americas/en/icc-profiles
I am still on Flexi Pro 5.7 and use that and Versaworks... and Vw will not do reg for other brands. I would consider
trying Flexi on subscription - it is month to month. I previously had Wasatch and they could not get it to work with
my VP Roland- I am well pleased with VW but switching is...
