Nice looking signs, very classy

Lesson learned, use them for interior only.

There a few books out there about getting into the sign business, try Signcraft magazines website and Ebay. And did you ever think about getting a job in a sign shop to see what's involved? Or you could buy a franchise.

If applying prints I like to use black pvc for a job like this, looks so much better than a white edge.

We have an extended cab F150 with 8' bed. A full size ladder rack that extends over the roof. We have top mount tool boxes. This has worked well.

I'd get a price on a double layer translucent print, apply it to white lexan or acrylic.

Ask around, maybe some customers, other businesses, your accountant to see who else is available. We use a local service started by a former ADP employee, they are reasonably priced and very responsive to special requests.

The more I think about the more I think he should offer to sell them the files. I don't see any scenario where they would come back to him. He should put a number on it high enough to make it worth it for him

It's always a judgement call, if he thinks they may still give him work he can offer to make copies of the files for $$. Then again he may be sealing his fate as a former vendor.
