Is it always the same info for the back?
Where I worked once, we bought a rubber stamp and just stamped the back of everything that left the shop with it.
That way the customer knew where to come back to buy again when they used the last one.
I think the stamp cost like $30 and lasted years, and...
We cut it almost every day on our mimaki plotter. Never any issues. Possibly your blade is bad? (or maybe the roll is?)
I know we use a custom setting that is stronger than our regular laminated 180c setting and also manually rotate the blade out another revolution of the blade holder when we...
A TRIPLE-Strike of Trans Green on 280Gold gets pretty close, this may be what we go with for the project... Lots of foil use-age when you're printing a 50' stripe!
I thought so too, but I've never had to match 280 green before; the vinyl is darker and has a more blueish look to it than the printed trans green does.
The Gerber Color ID suggests Trans Green over Bermuda Blue as a color shift of only 6%.
It also suggests Trans Green over Process Yellow and...
I have a rush job that a sample was provided for, and I have to print it as all one piece (edge print) to match the sample from the customer.
It is a "gold" with "dark green" reflective pinstripes. We have been able to match the gold through double-striking trans gold on 280i white, but cannot...
We just got approval on funds here for new equipment to make things go smoother and speed up production time. We're kinda in the same boat; we have a couple Mimaki printers and plotters, and a few other ramdom plotters.
We decided upon an HP latex and a Summa plotter. That is what fit our needs...
Some places do it because it is cheaper to print and spray lam. That is the only reason they do it that way.
These are only for things like box trucks, beverage trailers, semi's, etc though. You can't do an actual "wrap" with that type of vinyl.
Removal is also a lot harder.
Go ahead and switch now! We wrap 2+ vehicles per day (along with all of our graphics), with in-house installers and sub-contractors. ALL of them will tell ya that Avery is going to fail first. We've tried it in the past on trial basis when Avery would give us rolls trying to get us to switch...
Be careful where you put your dongle! (lol):omg:
Seriously though, without the dongle the Composer wont work, and you can break a dongle easily so if you're sticking it in a laptop port and moving the laptop around it is in danger.
I know this is digging up an old thread, but we are facing the same dilemma right now!
Our Gerber Odyssey is no longer plotting reliably, and we need a new 48"+ plotter to run full 50yd rolls reliably.
What do you suggest?
Ambulance Parts
For those of you needing to mock up a box ambulance, here are the basic parts.
Insert your own cab, adjust the box dimensions, and move things around as necessary.
1/20 Scale, etc.
Honestly, they look like foam(?) letters that were cut cleanly and then "hammered" deformed with a torch to appear as hammered metal. And then painted accordingly. I would assume with something like Rustoeum Hammered Finish paint.
I've ordered it a lot of times in 5'x12' pieces instead of the standard 4'x8' size.
I think when I ordered it locally it I used neon Engineering in Cincinnati, OH.
