I use both Flexi/LXI & Corel. Flexi does alot of things better than Corel and Corel does a lot of things better than Flexi. Its hard to find one program that does everything well.

Ive had this happen before with flexi (Same program), the solution to the problem is to reset to the default settings. Go to Start/Programs/LXI/Clear Preferences You will have to re-configure your software again, but it did fix the problem for me.

You can print on about anything that will fit through the rollers. 3M, Avery, Oracal, FDC, Mactac, etc. You will find that the uncoated printable vinyls normally print a bit better though. Also the printable vinyls are usually free of dust and have a better finish.

Under the outline tool you go to the palette tab and create a color called CutPath. It can be any color as long as its called CutPath. You then create an outline or whatever you want to do and set it to that color. Everything that is this color will be cut.

DJ, The profiles are on Rolands sight under Support/ICC Profile wizard and then output/COLORRIP 2.x/Versacamm SP-300/CMYK Eco-SOL INK/ESM-LBV Light-Weight Banner Vinyl.

The only negitive is its still to small... I find my 30" versacamm to small in a lot of cases.

I run both my Summa D60 & Versacamm off the same PC (Printing on one while cutting on the other). There should be no reason you should not be able to do this. Each device has its own port with its own address.

I assume your talking about in Corel. I get this sometimes as well. I just export load into flexi and create the line in there. Flexi does not have this issue.

First I hate to tell you this, but the solvent inks do not hold up that much better than the eco-solvent inks. Honestly both need to be laminated for automotive applications. For thicker films I use Covex 8 mil. It seems to work pretty well for standard decals that do not use application...

If you have a Versacamm you really need another cutter to do cut work anyways. At 11ips the versacamm is just 2 slow to be utilized as a full time cutter. Personally I use my versacamm for print/cut stuff and my Summa D60 for cut vinyl. Versacamm prints should be laminated if used out...

Your media is probably curling because your cutting on a ink line. This is a common problem with inkject printers... You need to either laminate or leave a small white border around the decal to solve this problem.

For the cost of an edge, you may want to start considering some of the newer large format inkjet printers. Versacamm, Mamiki, etc.
