Yes this does it all throughout the media and even on another roll of the media. I did not try a different media yet but I have seen this on two different rolls of the same media.

Yes it runs back and forth the same direction the head runs. It does not seem to have any set pattern. Just these blotchy spots on only the light grey. It will do it on darker grey as well but the darker the grey the less it can be seen.

I am trying to do an ink flush on our S80600 but for some reason when I install the cleaning cartridges the printer is not accepting them and saying I need to place the correct color cartridges so I am not able to get out of that screen. Does anyone know how to fix that or why it won't accept them.

I am having the same problems. Everything is fine at first and then it starts banding in the prints. Before I could just clean it and it would go away. Now it does this on the first print after I clean everything.

I got it all figured out. I was using an off brand scotch tape at first and used the name brand matte stuff and it is working fine.

I tried white vinyl and that didn't work for me but I will give that a try to see if it does work instead.
