also found out if I use my printer cable it works but not with my com cable and the com cable worked with my old plotter

I am setting up a graphtec fc5100 and keep getting a write port error in flexi 8.5 have checked the port setting on the plotter and they are correct and match flexi any Ideas?

Any one seen this problem with flexi 8.5? I has happened a few times and this time I cant get it to work every time I go cut my file It gives me the windows error message that production manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.
