I'm a long time Oracal user and to get perfect finish right out of the laminator, the best laminate is 290GF - 297GF. Why? because they come on synthetic liner. Whatever the brand, most of the high-end cast laminate are released on synthetic liner because it gives wet look right off the...
In my +33 years in business, I've been asked countless time to supply their logo to a third party (newspaper, embroidery guy, charity event, sponsoring...) even after I designed their logo and gave 'em on a hard copy (CD/DVD). They always lose 'em or don't wanna spend time digging it...
Now I...
One thing I just don't understand... everytimes I read things like this I tell myself: "did they get their printer from Amazon w/o any installation, calibration, fine tuning, training or what??? When I spend 25k on a printer, I get it delivered, assembled, fine tuned, tested with MY files in...
One weird thing: WRI is owned by ND Graphics but operate separately. Here in Quebec, we get our 3M from ND Graphics, Grimco, Médiatech and Federal Transformateur but I'm also using WRI when I found nothing around here. Everytime I called at WRI, they told us to call ND and hang up (!!!) but I...
I have a roll of about all major brands here (their top-of-the-line cast) and my choice remains 3M 8518 for gloss and clarity. I was used to buy Oracal's combo 3751GPS + 290G but the laminate was not as glossy as expected. Tried 1060z, not bad but shorter durability. Got a combo of SLX+ with...
Never tried... I use Ai just for few conversions or to open/resave in other formats... I'm working with Flexi... I'll get in touch with a friend and see if he can setup the file for me. Already spent too much time on this file set up, I don't wanna spend another hour trying to figure it out...
Answer: yes
but I'm not doing it myself (spreadsheet) as I don't have a clue how Excel works. My friend did it for me.
You think that by creating a file with the 2 cells filled with according numbers it will falls in the right rows in VW? Might worth a try...
As I said, I am able to do it when typing 'em one by one but nobody wants (read have time) to type 0001 to 1000 in cells, that's why these data files are created in Excel (I don't master Excel neither)
I have read the whole section, again, and it all makes sense since it's to control all the different datas inside a single decals (1,2 or 3 data fields) but I can set everything up for 1, what I'm not able to do is to duplicate this setting so it prints 2 identicals decals side-by-side, in rows...
whatever I'm trying to do, it adds the numbers at the end of the 1st row instead of into the 2nd... frustrating.
I also have create 2 different VDS boxes with different names embedded into Ai file so when VW read it, it sees the 2 different data boxes but still can't reopen / import / transfer...
I'm used to print batch of decals for a printshop that are 0001 to 1300 but this order requires to have 2 identical decals side-by-side in roll form. I created the file in Ai with the appropriate box for the number, duplicated it and saved as EPS. When I open it in VW, I see the 2 decals...
