  1. Question Going rate on color change wrap

I do semis for living... at my place you get side graphics and name on doors for 1800$. I wouldn't do full wrap for less than 3x that amount.
  2. .040 Lic. Plate Blanks

I get mine from https://expresssignproducts.com/license-plates/304-040-black-white-aluminum-license-plates.html but it's in Canada. In stock
  3. Discussion Automotive company decals

'Did a dk. charcoal Kenworth in 2007 with printed graphics (Roland OEM inks), client came back this summer asking to reprint doors sections because they were repainted. 'Found back the original file in one of my backups, reprinted the middle sections of the kit and BAM!!! it matched like 95%...
  4. Discussion Automotive company decals

Liquid laminate, that's for sure. I did a lot of airbrushed graphics on vinyl back in the days... I was using Premium Automotive Urethane Paint and matching clearcoat. Some are 15-20 years old and still look like day 1. Most OEM are screenprinted.
  5. Who wants to help me find the font?? Please!

Looks like something you could find at www.letterheadfonts.com They have that kinda elegant font
  6. Help needed.

You don't have Ai, not Ps either... are you a graphic designer? If you use Corel or any other signmaking softwares, you should be able to retrace it. By the look, it's mostly a cheap/free font as the structure is uneven...
  7. Roland issue

The only time I've had color issues is simply because the tech never told me about shaking the cartridges once a week, even more important on the Orange. My reds were faded, my oranges turned peach / salmon... All the nozzles were firing right but the testprint lines are so small I didn't...
  8. Roland issue

I print for other shops around... they come back because I make 'em look great on their clients' jobs...
  9. Roland issue

*After testing the same file with 5 different profiles, I came back to the 1st one mentioned above. I'm picky for colors...
  10. Roland issue

90% of all my prints are printed with this formula. Large part of all my prints are on Oracal 3751GPS / 3M IJ180SLE / Avery 2903EZ with the same amazing results. Bright colors (that match and, great ink coverage (solid color, like a real piece of color vinyl)
  11. Cut off on Roland vg2-54

I have a VG2-540 and I print n' cut big rig graphics on a weekly base w/o any issue... they range between 10 to 14ft long... I put a 1/8" bleed around 'em but even with the long back & forths, it rarely moves more than 1/16 (most of the time it's dead on...). You have something wrong in your...
  12. Oracal 5600 Reflective Vinyl failure

Similar trouble but with white printable I just returned a roll of 5400 because even in dark colors (printed) it has a lot of white spickles (sp?) all over it, like a contaminant in the ink receptive treatment. 1st time in a decade. I returned it and got a new one from another lot...
  13. HUGE tip for those using the Roland Color System

Question: I'm not having issues printing my gradients (or very rarely) but I'm curious to do some testings when I'll find some spare times (!!!) My concern is regarding the actual colors output... If my prints are perfect with actual formula (Generic Vinyl 1 v2 with True Rich Color 2), the...
  14. Lettering on Chrome Color Selection

What SignausaurusRex said...:goodpost: If you really need to keep customer's font and color, that's what I would propose here
  15. Can you decode this logo?

I got a friend that was convinced that the more you pay, the better you get. Let's just say that I may be a novice/green/beginner designer (+32years in sign business) but after seeing a lot of "expensive" logos made by big marketing agencies, I doubt it's always "money well spent". Some of the...
  16. Matte back with gloss white letters

    Exactly what SignMeUpGraphics said.
  17. Oracal 751 black problems

I'm a long time 751 / 3751 user, 'never had a single issue, 'never ran across the mark you mentioned. Maybe I'm just lucky... but this 751 is my go to film for years (decades) and I do mostly semi tractors and other long term users' vehicles. For the scuff marks on the picture, simply run the...
  18. Roland TrueVis and Avery MPI SC-1105 issues

I received my VG2-540 on December 17th so it's been on duty for the last 6 months. I really like it, it prints great and the add of Orange helps a lot. I have printed on various media so far w/o issue except IJ180mC-10 (prints were "smuggie", inconsistent, like a contamined surface. 'Returned...
