To help me simplify the quotation process I have worked out the cost per square metre of chromadek and just marked that up but I have been wondering is this method of calculation correct or should I work with a running metre instead? Sorry to those using the imperial system

It started off with a few minor pink spots and then it got a bit more and now it basically cover 90% of a print which basically means I cannot print anymore until it is resolved. The technician replaced the head cables and it still continued so he suggests that it is probably the head that...

Any ideas what causes the ink on a vinyl print to smudge when using the squeegee? I doubt that its too much force with the squeegee as it did not happen before? Could it be the material, ink or printer heater settings or something else?

The issue returned two days later so i bought a new encoder strip (i think that was overdue, had this one for 5 years) and a new encoder sensor and the problem is still there :(

So i cleaned the encoder and also took out the ribbon cables to the magenta heads, blew the slots for dust and re-inserted them and now its printing 100%. Lets hope it stays that way will keep everyone posted should anything change.

Using a Roland vp540, how can I cut a cookie stencil? The machine can cut vinyl but I'm not sure how much thicker it can cut. I cant use vinyl because it will stretch and distort the cutout so I was thinking something thicker but something that the 45 or 60-degree blade can cut?

I need to install a 3m x 3m aluminum frame with stretched PVC about 6m high. I intend using coach screws to bolt them to the wall. Would there be any negatives to this approach as someone mentioned that aluminium should not be installed that high?
