remove the back cover. the valves are behind it near the ink cartridges. The clicking noise is the solenoid that activates the valves while the cartridge is removed.

I am sure your supplier could laminate the prints for you. I use a cheapo eBay manual laminator all the time and have had no issues with it.

call a local plastic supplier. They usually carry materials in larger sizes that regular sign supply places do not.

I'm pretty sure you will have to install it inside the case. Otherwise it would work the opposite way that you want.

If you are looking for a material you can print on, and then transfer to the garment, check out Roland's Heat Soft. I was using the stuff from signwarehouse, but this is so much better.
