  1. Hello from Almost Heaven, West Virginia

I'm Bob Hardbarger of Hardbarger Signs. My son, Bryan signed me up and said I needed to be on here. So here I am. Always good to be a part of something where brothers & sisters of the brush and general trade can voice what's on their minds. A somewhat veteran of the tade, 40 plus years and...
  2. Howdy From TEXAS :)

What did he do? Use the Tejano music as a soundtrack for the Asian Porn? Thats just... WRONG. hahahaha
  3. clipart logo design

Great job my friend! I am completely UNoposed to using clipart, and to be honest, I don't even consider the collection to be "clipart", This is a collection created by sign people, for the industry, to me, clipart comes from Broderbund, or some other source. MOST of which has very little...

  12. Exporting from X3

Have you tried any other file types? Like cmx? It may take some time, but Corel can export many file types, LXI may prefer one of them.
  13. Blending a bitmap into a gradient fill.

Try power clipping the image (bitmap) into a box in Corel, while inside the powerclip, create a box OVER the bitmap, add a color, and give it a transparent blend, viola!
  14. New Here, Doin' Vinyl Since 1998

Of course, by the same token, Shinerite is total CRAP, I'd rather use high performance vinyl, or just digital print one with a design to blow yer socks off (created in about 10 minutes) charge $200.00 for the banner, have it done and picked up within an hour, and take the rest of the day off!
  15. New Here, Doin' Vinyl Since 1998

I think this may have gone just far enough, is it possible there is a misunderstanding somewhere? I think we need to draw the line and shake hands, we're all in the same business, we're all here to learn and get inspiration. Let's not trash one another when we can try to reach a general...

  18. New Here, Doin' Vinyl Since 1998

I agree whole heartedly with Jill, even the simplest for sale or lease sign can have a GOOD design element, and most good designers can accomplish this in about 6 minutes or less. There is NO reason to throw rubbish work out there, we have been FIGHTING the quickie franchises about this for...
