best way to stop the edges getting ragged is to use a revers spiral singel flute cutter, this pushes swarf down and away
unlike a normal cutter that pulls the swarf up and under the laminate
slow the cutter RPM down as much as you can, and adjust the feed rate also
do a lead in and lead out...
iff your print test is ok
try looking at the two outside pinch rollers
if thay are flat replace them as the media is starting to slip
as a test rotat the image and reprit if the gosting is in the same place i would be looking at the head alignment

is the yellow and black head connected to the same cleaning pump?
if yes make shore both tubes are the same length
if the black cartridge is full and the yellow is quarter full for example, you can get a siphoning effect where the black ink preshour pushes up into the yellow...
put the cleaning flush cartrage in
take the damper off the head and pull the flush into the damper with a syringe
put back on the head and do a clean to flush out the old ink
when you get the new ink just repet the prosess

Had this on our old 540
are you still using the small dampers about 1" tall?
if not you need to swap them for the hi capacity ones
in addition try slowing down the feed rate and turn down the heaters
also turn on auto clean and set for about 6m
if you still have problems set to unidirectional
Pantone colour Bridge is the one you need as it has all the CMYK and PMS colour and values side by side
roland profiles will be set for roland inks so i sujest sticking with muto icc profiels for your printer
you can allways try downloading the roland versaworks rip and loading in your Muto...

what rip are you running?
have you printed out the rip colour pallet always a good starting point. try picking a red from the colour replacement section within the rip and assign it to the job
we had this problem a lot
it may be the data cabel or the top of the head has cracked just under the damper
normaly a damaged head cap cased by the dampers rattaling around, easy fix
so are the ink lines and dampers full? if yes
swap the data cabels yellow to magenta , magenta to yellow ( if...

best fix is to undo the arm on the motor side and cut the side off , See photo, put back together
this stops the media geting snaged
loosen of bottom brackit both sides and make shore all is square to the machine legs and re fit in place.
