Rapid Tac, love the stuff, Rapid Remover not so much. My question is do people really like Rapid Tac 2, I try it for large window frosting but find Rapid Tac 1 is better. The 2 was eating the glue on some cheap u-line frosting.
I recommend having a clean shop and a dirty shop so you don't do dusty or dirty jobs in the same room as your printer and laminator. If not possible at least have a separated room with negative airflow. Chop and panels saws are the worst.
Make cut line a hairline and ensure there is no fill. A .25 outline will always cut twice, it must be a hairline. If you still have the problem ensure there is no fill in the cut line path.
I also find wrinkled media problems come from to much humidity or temperature fluctuations. Paper backed roll stock should be kept at a consistent temperature.
I used to sell ready to apply letters for $1 per inch. So 1" is $1, 3" is $3, 12" is $12 etc. Now I just say small jobs fall under my minimum which is either $100 or $200 depending on the job and customer.
For sandblast resist I wipe the dusty coating off with alcohol and water after it has been cut so my premask sticks. Sometimes I wipe it off before I cut. Also try to minimize long thin lines and borders, they can be cut by hand.
I recommend 3M Anti Graffiti Vandal Guard 8991. if offers maximum scratch protection and is resistant to all solvents. Only issue is it's very rigid so only suitable for flat signs. I get it for about 1,200 per roll from ND Graphics.
I recommend 1.5" stand off's and a matte or rough background for Halo lit letters. Definitely would be nice to see returns (sides) on the letters for a professional look.
Just wraped some semi fenders gloss black and spent most of a day just doing the first side (includes cleaning and disassembly). The second side I did in sections using knifless tape and making my seam where the two planes meet. It was much easier and better results. I recommended pieces. Ps...
When a contour is created an outline is added on top of the original line. I always break apart or separate and delete that line. Also change the default colour of the contour so it's not black on black.
*I use CorelDRAW almost daily and have since 1994.
