I have one my son made that automatically exports jpgs and/or eps and sorts them for printing or email usage. It also saves me a copy in the customers file.
I dont' know... I may not be a connoisseur of fine fonts but these look a little outdated to me.
With the reasonable prices Signfonts and LHF charge I can't see too many business opting for this.
I think this is about 15 years too late.
Anyone else receive this ad. Apparently they are selling a pay-per-use font service. Problem is, I think I'd rather own a font than rent one but maybe it has its place.
What do you think?

PHOTOLETTERING.COM is a new service that allows you to...
Not sure what you mean.. but I'll take it as a compliment. :)
I think you may have a good idea when it comes to finding a niche like selling to architects and such.
No harm in trying.
From the sounds of it youi're trying to get Mcdonald's sign business by talking to their marketing dept and architects.
And you've changed your shop and bought new equipment(?).
Good luck.
I still say .. being a architect is a shorter path to the good money
Translation(?):
With all the crap and hassle involved in the sign making business with no opportunity for easy-(get-rich-quick type) money... Is it really worth it? I went from working at Macdonald's to working as a helper in a sign company. So should I be an architect?
Is this what you...
I've given that sort of thing a lot of thought but in the end it's too little money to be bothered with. $10 for a banner rental is like an annoyance really.
Selling 1 banner makes up for many rentals.
imho.
Love the new fonts Steve. Had to use them right away.
Although it was Tuscano that I really wanted I found Edoras and Valentino to be an awesome additions as well.
I think you're right.. All the signs are doing the same thing. One of them has no vinyl left on it at all.

#1 is more colorful and fancy but maybe that's not what she wants. I actually think that #2 is a better design in that the design reiforces the store name.
Whereas the first one shouts recycling centre which I think may miss the message.
That brings back memories. I believe one was called the Michaelangelo(sp?). They sent me a sample of a print on a piece of carpet once. Looked great for its time.
Always wondered what ever happened to those. I wanted one but as I recall they where very expensive.
agreed as far as regular sign shops go... but it may have a niche type market where volume and pricing are important. Like posters perhaps.
IMUEHO (first time I've seen this one... in my uneducated? humble opinion?)
Looks like they're starting with Office printers first:
