I just find it amazing at how a machine that is soooooo much better than the Roland (insert sarcasm here) has to be sold for less than half the MSRP to move units..Im not faulting you guys..the manufacturer and the dealers who blow them out are to blame...

Yup that's correct...Been seeing some other issues with Versaworks and Windows 7 Ultimate so if you have that platform, it may be something other than Versaworks.

You've got to be kidding me..If you have that machine, it should still be under warranty?!?!? Why can't a dealer get out there to fix it? If you get your hands on the manual and go in there and screw something up you're next post will be about how expensive a dealer will cost to come fix it...

Send the printheads to right as if you were going to clean the heads..get an air duster and lightly blow it up near the lens to loosen up and particles. From there clean with alcohol and swab. No q-tips

Def clean the encoder strip but before you run another entire job and waste materials before to run some calibration tests just to be sure. Good luck!

I would hope you only mean that in the "miles and good owner" sense..Buying a printer or ANY equipment for that matter is NOTHING like buying a car. Buying a car the thing loses value the second you drive it off the lot and it only COSTS you money. The printer MAKES you money..HUGE difference.

Without a warranty attached, you would need to take into consideration that anyone who buys it has 6 heads and two very expensive boards to replace should they ever go bad. Total cost to get all that repaired even over the span of a year or two is about $10,000+ Question is, how much would YOU...

It sounds like the tension cable. Print & Cut alignment can and has been affected by simple factors such as media thickness, loose/worn pinch roller or tension, dirty grit rollers, tracking, or even the environment. I am not saying any of these are your direct issue, but I think it would be wise...

I think it may also be overkill to have it doing two regular cleanings per day. Only one is recommended and manually clean it every two weeks depending on how much printing you are doing. As far as using OEM parts and supplies, just because they are the same color doesnt mean they will work...

Keep in mind...I can probably account for dozens of people each week that get that "great deal" on equipment and then curse the thing out left and right. I have more people complaining about Mimaki and Mutoh than I do Roland. With all due respect, the only people that seem to be complaining...
